PS5, Xbox Scarlett and Google Stadia: release date

By  Bella Evans 2019-06-10 207 0

The next-gen consoles PlayStation 5 and Xbox Two and Xbox Scarlett are now openly discussed by Sony and Microsoft. And even more is happening on the gaming horizon. The streaming service Google Stadia also promises high-end gaming - and possibly triggers a big wave of announcements.

As Google reports via Twitter (at the end of this article), the most important questions about the games streaming service are apparently to be clarified this summer. According to the article, you will find out when the service starts, what it costs and which games are included. In the past only Microsoft could provide information about the Xbox Scarlett. Sony had announced to skip the E3 2019 and not reveal any PS5 information here.

PS5 and Xbox only after Stadia + xCloud

According to an alleged insider in the NeoGAF forum, Microsoft is supposed to unveil the technical specifications of the Xbox Two at E3 on June 9. There will be information about both planned variants, which will have the code names "Anaconda" and "Lockhart". Just like the PS5 from Sony, the new Xbox generation is not expected to be released until 2020. However, Microsoft's streaming service xCloud could be launched this year, but possibly only after Google Stadia.

It is probably most likely that Microsoft will finally present the Xbox Two during E3 2020. So far, little has been said about the PlayStation 5 schedule, but a release is also expected next year. In the past, Sony has been ahead of its US competitor several times during the presentation. But in the end there was hardly any waiting time between the sales launches. So everything looks as if the streaming services could still be presented in 2019. Then it will become clear whether they can bind many players to themselves or whether the majority will wait for the next-gen consoles PS5 and Xbox Two.
