Compared with Qualcomm Snapdragon 855, the platform's enhanced performance includes the super kernel main frequency of Kryo 485 CPU from 2.84GHz to 2.96GHz, and Adreno 640GPU gets a 15% performance improvement.
The Snapdragon 855 Plus integrates many of Qualcomm's latest technologies and features in gaming, AI, and XR. For the most commonly used scenarios, Snapdragon 855 Plus provides superior performance to deliver a top-level user experience to consumers:
Games: the Snapdragon 855 Plus can support higher performance and leading gaming experiences. Through a complete set of hardware and software features for game optimization, Snapdragon Elite Gaming is designed to provide users with a competitive advantage, such as support for Vulkan 1.1 graphics drivers, which is 20 percent more energy efficient than Open GL ES.
In addition, Snapdragon Elite Gaming also supports software enhancement features such as system-level game stutter optimization, game fast load optimization, and game anti-cheating extension.
AI: fourth generation multi-core Qualcomm artificial intelligence engine AI Engine can deliver extremely fast response gaming experience. It supports more than 7 trillion operations per second (7TOPs) and enables proprietary programmable AI acceleration.
XR: By connecting the XR head display to a mobile terminal with a Snapdragon 855 Plus and Snapdragon X505G modem, users can easily enjoy an immersive XR experience (AR/VR experience) and a super-fast, ultra-smooth 5G experience.
The ROG Phone 2, which will be launched this month, will launch the Snapdragon 855 Plus mobile platform. In addition, ROG Phone 2 will also be equipped with 120Hz ultra-high refresh rate screens, sign strategic cooperation agreements with Tencent games, carry out deep customization of Tencent games, and combine software and hardware to create a better game experience for users. We can also look forward to what the Snapdragon 855 Plus mobile platform will do.
