Samsung has made an important alliance with AMD with which it intends to use all the technology of the processor company to be applied in various mobile solutions.
With this union both companies intend to create an important link for both, since AMD wants to take advantage of the instance to enter with the whole world of mobile while Samsung intends to completely change the architecture of Exynos processors.
From now on, the processor company finally agrees with the Korean company to enter the world of mobile phones taking advantage of the great opportunity.
Samsung agrees with AMD
For the company's CEO, Lisa Su, this alliance with Samsung is key for her company, since this subtle movement will allow them to enter and extend all the Radeon graphics to the gigantic mobile market, in order to develop a whole new development ecosystem for the company.
On the other hand, for Inyup Kang, President of Samsung Electronics, he is confident that working with AMD will be a big leap for them, as it will allow them to accelerate innovations for mobile graphics technologies that will take the mobile world to a higher and futuristic level.
AMD will now provide licenses to Samsung to enable them to build their own modernized chipsets based on the new RDNA architecture, which offers better features than those currently used by Koreans.
Let's remember that Samsung currently uses the well-known Mali GPU which is also owned by ARM, but from now on the company will be able to create the new processors based on the new AMD architecture.
Finally, this will mean a radical change for Samsung's strategy regarding the construction of its processors, as this will allow them to differentiate and approach a more independent way of working as is the case with Apple and Huawei.
