Today, a famous Chinese leaker (@Digital Chat Station) posted that the Redmi K30 series phones will be released in December, 2019 via Weibo. What will the Redmi K30 series phones offer us? Redmi K30 and Redmi K30 Pro will be powered by Snapdragon 735(SM7250) and Snapdragon 865 respectively

Like the Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro, the Redmi K30 and Redmi K30 Pro will also adopt different processors. The Redmi K20 is expected to be equipped with Snapdragon 735(SM7250) chip, which is an upcoming powerful mid-range processor that will support 5G network. On the other hand, the Redmi K30 Pro will be powered by Snapdragon 865 processor, which is a flagship processor to arrive soon for high-end smartphones.

According to Lu Weibing, the Redmi K30 series phones will support 5G network both in SA mode (Standalone) and NSA mode (Non-Standalone). Both the upcoming new processors Snapdragon 735 and Snapdragon 865 will support the 5G feature. Therefore, the Redmi K30 and Redmi K30 Pro will become Redmi’s first batch of 5G phones.

It is known that the Redmi smartphones mainly focus on price-performance ratio, so the upcoming Redmi K30 series phones may become one of the most affordable 5G phones on the market. The latest news predicted that the Redmi K30 series phones will start from 3499 yuan (about $498).   

In terms of release date, the previous rumors reveal that the Redmi K30 series phones will be launched in the 2020. However, the latest leaks from Chinese leakers said the Xiaomi company will release the Redmi K30 and Redmi K30 Pro in December this year. Considering that the Honor V30 will be released in November and it will also support dual-mode 5G network, so the Redmi K30 series phones will become the competitor of it.
