According to Lu Weibing, general manager of Redmi, Redmi Note series sold more than 12 million units in India in 2018. At the same time, Xiaomi also ranked first in the smartphone market for six consecutive quarters, with a market share of 28.9% in 2018, surpassing the second Samsung mobile phone by 54%.

Returning to the new product, Redmi Note 7 Pro uses a waterdrop screen with the same design style as Redmi Note 7. It has three major color matching: Twilight Gold, Phantom Blue and Bright Black. It has a Type-C interface, 3.5mm headset interface and an infrared remote control function. It is equipped with 4000mAh large battery and P2i dual life waterproof.

Compared with Redmi Note 7, Redmi Note 7 Pro's processor is upgraded to 11-nm Snapdragon 675 processor, which uses the same Kryo460 architecture as Snapdragon 855, with built-in Adreno 612 GPU and Spectra 250L ISP. Judging from the benchmark score, Redmi Note 7 Pro scored 180,808 points, exceeding the Snapdragon 710 and Kirin 710. There will be 4 GB + 64 GB and 6 GB + 128GB versions available in the Indian market.

On the camera side, the Redmi Note 7 Pro has also been upgraded to Sony IMX 586 (as confirmed when Redmi Note 7 was released), with 48MP + 5MP dual cameras, including 6P lens and F1.79 aperture. Functionally, it supports hand-held super night view, AI studio lighting, AI dynamic spot and AI scene camera.

Finally, the price of Redmi Note 7 Pro was announced. The price of 4 GB + 64 GB was 13999 rupees (about $198), while the price of 6 GB + 128GB was 16 999 rupees (about $240).
