Redmi Note 7S review: compared to Note 7 harvest excellent camera

By  Ingrid Wilhelmina 2019-05-24 334 0

Recently, Xiaomi announced that it has sold more than 2 million Redmi Note 7 series in India. In order to continue to increase sales in the Indian market, Xiaomi has launched another mobile phone in the series, Redmi Note 7S. So what is unique about this new model? Let's take a look!

Hardware aspect

From the front, it is difficult to find the difference between Redmi Note 7, Note 7S and Note 7 Pro. The appearance of these three phones is almost identical.

The front of the phone has a beautiful 6.3-inch full HD display. The display is brightly colored, with a wide viewing angle and excellent results. This phone supports the Widevine L1 for high-resolution video playback. In addition, the “water droplet gap” design at the top of the screen is more intuitive than the traditional notch screen.

Along the edge of the bottom of the phone, we can find the USB-C port for the charging jack and data transfer. Like most Xiaomi hardware configurations, this phone is also equipped with a 4000mAh high-capacity battery. It is worth noting that it supports fast charging.

It is not the same as other models, it should be a camera. The phone cites a higher resolution camera sensor and some improved photography features.

In terms of specifications, the mobile phone is equipped with the Snapdragon 660 processor, which satisfies the user's daily experience. The media said that the similarities of mobile phones can be extended to the internal software of mobile phones. Redmi Note 7S runs MIUI 10.3 on Android Pie, pre-installed with some applications. However, most of these applications can be removed.

What's new in the camera?

The camera on the Redmi Note 7S uses a 480,000-pixel Samsung GM1 sensor that can use pixel grading to produce better results than a normal smartphone camera. By merging adjacent pixels, the sensitivity of the sensor is increased and the user can capture brighter, more detailed images.

The media pointed out that although the image capture of this phone has obvious improvements, it is not as good as Note 7 Pro.

Of course, it is undeniable that the effect of this phone for outdoor shooting looks great and the color reproduction is quite accurate. The dynamic range of the image is quite good and will not be damaged even in direct sunlight.

To sum up

As we all know, Xiaomi's hardware has extremely high value and there are many places worthy of attention. Therefore, the price of Redmi Note 7S in India is not surprising. The 3GB / 32GB model is priced at 10,999 rupees (about 10,088 yuan), and the 4GB / 64GB model is priced at 12,999 rupees (about 1300 yuan).

There is no doubt that Redmi Note 7S shows us many of its advantages, such as a very good camera, making Redmi Note 7 a bit redundant. In terms of price, it is only 1000 rupees (about 15 US dollars) more expensive than Redmi Note 7, which means that an additional 1000 rupees (about RMB 100 or so) provides a better camera and a better processor.

It seems that the Indian market is still very optimistic about this phone, and in China, in fact, Redmi Note 7 has been equipped with GM1 camera, which has reached 48 million pixels.
