Two benchmarks can be seen for the AMD Ryzen 5 3600 processor, which catches up with the Intel Core i7-9700K and AMD Ryzen 7 1700X processors.

The new AMD Ryzen 3000 processors are only a few weeks away. Before their release we are seeing the filtration of different benchmarks. We have seen a benchmark of the Ryzen 5 3600 under Cinebench R15 and Cinebench R20. These benchmarks are processor specific and show their performance. We have seen the processor commented on an X470 motherboard with 16GB DDR4 @ 3200MHz.

It should be noted that the Ryzen 5 3600 is characterized by 6 cores and 12 processing threads. It also works at a base frequency of 3.6GHz and in Boost mode reach 4.2GHz with 35MB of L3 cache. It has a TDP of 65W and has been filtered to around 210 euros.

A benchmark of the Ryzen 5 3600 appears

This processor should compete with the Core i5-9600K. This processor has 6 cores and 6 processing threads at a Base frequency of 3.7GHz and reaches 4.6GHz in Boost mode. This Intel processor costs 255 euros, almost 60 euros more expensive than the AMD processor.

If it were a price comparison, we should compare it with the Ryzen 5 3600X of about 260 euros. Although in this case also we can buy it with the Core i7-9700K of 8 cores and 8 threads. This processor works at 3.6GHz in base mode and in Boost mode it reaches 4.9GHz. It costs 390 Euros, almost twice as much as the Ryzen 5 3600.

Ryzen 5 3600 on Cinebench R15 gives us a score of 1 443 points, almost reaching the score of the core i7-9700K, which yields 1 451 points. While in Cinebench R20 offers a score of 3 229 points. We can buy it with the Ryzen 7 1700X of 8 cores and 16 threads, which yields 3 455 points. As we can see the difference is minimal.

What remains for us to know is how this processor will perform in games. The synthetic benchmarks already know that the more cores and threads (and frequency) the higher the performance.
