As early as this year's CES Consumer Electronics Show, we have seen the charm of Samsung The Wall. The Micro-LED panel technology not only absorbs the spontaneous emission characteristics of OLED, but also has better response speed and color saturation than OLED, and has obvious advantages in service life, so it is also regarded as the next generation display material to replace OLED. Samsung also stressed that, The Wall TV can achieve "never shut down."
When the screen is no longer in use, it automatically switches to environmental mode to display a variety of art paintings.
Coupled with support for seamless splicing, Micro-LED-based televisions also allow manufacturers to customize arbitrary sizes and aspect ratios according to consumer requirements, and even create some special-shaped structures to deal with different usage scenarios.
In addition to the largest model, the Samsung The Wall Luxury TV offers a minimum 73-inch version for the average home user to choose from.
The only pity is that its resolution is only 1080p, while 75-77-inch televisions based on OLED panels already have a 4K resolution.
Constrained by capacity and costs, the industry had previously thought that the Micro-LED panel would encounter a lot of obstacles in mass production, such as how to transfer millions of micro-components to one panel.
Samsung is also using the Micro-LED for large-size televisions, as for phones, tablets and other miniaturized devices, it is unlikely to see the emergence of this screen technology in the near future.
The Wall Luxury TV is expected to go on sale in July 2019, and Samsung has not yet announced a specific price, but combined with the previous Samsung 98-inch 8K TV pricing of nearly one million yuan, the price of, The Wall will obviously not be lower than that figure.
