Samsung Note 10 leaks: support 100W fast charge

In addition to smarter features and larger batteries, innovative charging solutions allow us to do more with mobile devices today. As this trend develops, while establishing security measures to prevent unauthorized access, power adapters that can quickly charge devices are increasingly being demanded. Samsung's Power Transmission MM101 and Security-Enhanced SE8A not only make charging faster and safer, but also provide new services that enrich the future of the mobile experience.
Just now, Samsung introduced a new pair of C-type power output (PD) controllers, which took the lead in the fast charging war. Both the SE8A and MM101 embed an eflash function that allows firmware updates. Both controllers also provide up to 100W of power (20V/5A). The SE8A includes an additional security feature called a security element, making it the first PD controller to offer an extra level of security. The MM101 can sense moisture, and moisture can stop the charging process if the user may be subjected to a fatal electric shock. It also supports the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) for product certification. Both chips have overvoltage protection.
Samsung also pointed out that smartphone users carrying laptops, tablets or monitors will be able to use the same adapter with a 100W charger.
Samsung said that MM101 is currently in the sampling stage, while SE8A is in mass production. This means we may see the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 or the manufacturer offering 100W fast charging for another high-end phone released later this year.
