Over the past few years, mobile phone cameras have become the primary tool for recording and sharing our daily lives, "said Yongin Park, executive vice President of Samsung electronics' sensor business. "With more pixels and advanced pixel technology, Samsung ISOCELL Bright GW1 and GM2 will bring a whole new level of photography to today's most stylish mobile devices."
ISOCELL Bright GW1
The ISOCELL Bright GW1 is a 64Mp image sensor, the highest resolution in Samsung's 0.8 m pixel image sensor lineup. By combining the pixel Tetracell technique and the re-collage algorithm, GW1 was able to generate a bright 16Mp image in a low-light environment and a 64Mp image in a brighter environment. The GW1 is equipped with a dual conversion gain (DCG) that provides sharper images through high-performance phase-detection autofocus technology, Super PD, and supports full HD recording of 480 frames per second (FPS).
ISOCELL Bright GM2
ISOCELL Bright GM2 is a 48-mp image sensor that also adopts the Tetracell technology in low-light environments and re-collage algorithm in well-lit environments to bring HD images with natural bright colors.
Samsung's ISOCELL Bright GW1 and GM2 are expected to be put into mass production in the second half of this year, and Samsung's Note 10 flagship is expected to carry a top-of-the-line gw14 megapixel sensor.
