Samsung smartphones will get AMD Radeon graphics in the future

AMD licenses its graphics technology to Samsung to allow the South Korean company to install Radeon graphics chips in smartphones in the future. Samsung will integrate the RDNA graphics chip architecture into its ARM-based Exynos processors. AMD's graphics technology will now also be used in smartphones and AMD will be represented on another platform.
AMD's RDNA architecture will therefore replace the Mali GPUs that Samsung previously integrated into its Exynos chips. This means that not all Samsung phones will be equipped with RDNA graphics processors. This is because the South Korean smartphone manufacturer uses different chips depending on the sales market.
Exynos chips with Radeon graphics
Most countries receive Samsung smartphones with Exynos chips. However, Samsung phones sold in the USA, Canada, China, Japan and Latin America are equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon processors and Adreno graphics chips. Adreno technology was also part of AMD until a few years ago. Adreno was sold to Qualcomm in 2009.
Radeon graphics cards from AMD are found not only in laptops and PCs, but also in gaming consoles such as the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Google will also use AMD graphics technology for its upcoming Stadia cloud gaming service.
