Sony WF-1000XM3 vs BOSE SoundSoport Free: Which is better?

The first feeling was. Both products have longer names than Russians. Just kidding, there's a difference of about half a year between the two, and although they're both TWS headphones, there's a difference in positioning-the Sony WF-1000XM3 is more everyday, and BOSE Soundsport Free knows by name that it was born for exercise.
They want reviews because they focus on different areas, but occasionally they can.
Sony WF-1000XM3 vs BOSE SoundSoport Free: Charging boxSony WF-1000XM3 can occasionally be used to exercise, BOSE Soundsport Free daily plug is not a big problem. So, the difference between them, which is better and which is where, let's look down together.
Let's take a look at the battery compartment (or storage box). Although both are plastic, the main body of the Sony WF-1000XM3 battery compartment uses a skin-friendly coating (I don't know what it is, but it's polycarbonate, I don't know, I don't know what it is, I don't know, it's polycarbonate). Compared with BOSE Soundsport Free's battery warehouse, it has a more advanced feeling and a more comfortable sense of touch. But Sony's top cover does not use the same material, just a simple imitation metal frosting paint, relatively easy to leave scratches.
The BOSE Soundsport Free uses a clasp opening and closing, while the Sony WF-1000XM3 is a magnetic opening and closing. Of course, both headphones are magnetic contact charging, and Sony has the upper hand in terms of charging speed: Sony supports charging for 10 minutes and listening for 90 minutes (if you don't turn on the noise reduction), BOSE, you can listen for 45 minutes after 15 minutes of charging-of course. Both are fast-paced compared with other brands on the market.
Sony WF-1000XM3 vs BOSE SoundSoport Free: Battery life
In terms of battery life, the Sony WF-1000XM3 can be used for 8 hours at a time without noise reduction (about 6 hours for noise reduction), and the battery can be recharged 3 times. The BOSE Soundsport Free can be used for five hours at a time and the battery compartment can be recharged twice.
When you open the battery compartment, you can see that the headphone main, BOSE Soundsport Free displays a power LED on both sides of the headset (lit up for charging status), while Sony integrates the reminder indicator on the headset (red is charging status). Both battery cabinets also have electricity display status, in this respect Sony in the "sense of technology" on the shape of more charm.
Needless to say, Sony's recent headphone products no longer seem to see charging ports other than the Type-C. Due to the earlier release time, the, BOSE Soundsport Free still uses the Micro-USB charging interface. To be sure, Sony is more forward-looking in the trend that mobile electronics or digital products are already moving in the direction of the Type-C.
Sony WF-1000XM3 vs BOSE SoundSoport Free: Control
In the interactive mode of headphones, BOSE Soundsport Free uses four physical keys, of which the right headset integrates a large number of functions, including, but not limited to, "pause, play, answer, hang up, volume increase or decrease, previous song, next song," and so on. Similar to Sony's previous sports headphones, it may be that physical buttons are more reliable, given that users are likely to wear swimming.
The Sony WF-1000XM3 interactively has only one touch button, the circular platform on the headphone body pictured above. Where you can customize through APP, by default, the left side is to control the noise reduction level, and the right side is the "next song", "pause / resume" or "answer / hang up" button.
Sony WF-1000XM3 vs BOSE SoundSoport Free: Build quality
Both workmanship is exquisite, the difference is that BOSE Soundsport Free because of movement positioning has to be combined with silicone (or rubber) on the main body of the machine to achieve a higher level of waterproofing. The Sony WF-1000XM3, on the other hand, has a new light sensor built in, a separate bright plastic area on the inside of the fuselage, and not much else to be picky about, but the design is not as distinctive as the previous generation.
A direct comparison of the headphone body between the two may not be able to visually observe the size difference between them, although they are likely to be similar in terms of space volume, but the BOSE Soundsport Free takes up more transverse space. This will be reflected when you wear it.
The upper ear of the BOSE Soundsport Free, as shown in the image above, still feels a little bit "stick a USB stick in the ear" on the front, and there is no way to wear an ear cap in the northern winter. Fixed stability, because there are shark fins can be open to irritable, not to mention the general flick, random run can not fall off.
The Sony WF-1000XM3 is much more low-key, with a small, flat fuselage that doesn't stand out on the front. Fixed stability, compared with the previous generation of products has been much improved, wearing the correct very stable, shake your head at will. Of course, the stability is relatively low compared to shark fins or Beats earrings, but it has never fallen off the left and right sides of the measured run.
Sony WF-1000XM3 is not waterproof and it is not recommended that you learn that I use it for running.
Sony WF-1000XM3 vs BOSE SoundSoport Free: Sound qualityThere is not much difference in sound quality between the two, so we will not talk about it here. Talk more about the differences in interaction between the two.
The new light sensor gives headphones the same "off-ear pause" and "put on automatic continuation" as the AirPods. Unfortunately, this feature currently only supports audio playback, but video cannot.
By contrast, BOSE Soundsport Free's operation logic is easy to understand too much, but the physical button damping is too large, each operation requires a little effort.
In terms of monaural scenarios, BOSE Soundsport Free still uses a more traditional TWS solution, with the right ear as the "main headset", which is responsible for connecting to the "left headset" in addition to connecting to the phone. The left headset itself cannot operate independently.
Sony WF-1000XM3 vs BOSE SoundSoport Free: Summary
Thanks to the new connection technology, both Sony WF-1000XM3 headphones are individually connected to the phone, and both left and right headphones can be used separately. Thanks to this technology, the delay of Sony's WF-1000XM3 is much lower than that of similar products, and it is no longer necessary to watch movies and play non-FPS games.
It is worth mentioning that although the positioning is different, but the original price of the two is relatively close. BOSE's new TWS headphones have yet to be heard from, and Sony's advance in audio is scary. I've been using BOSE Soundsport Free before, and I've said I can abandon it. Because the BOSE Soundsport Free does not have a noise reduction function, this article does not mention the noise reduction function of the Sony WF-1000XM3, which is a huge improvement over the previous generation, but compared with the WH-1000XM3, the QC35 or the new 700s. The degree of filtering is still not the same.
