On September 5, 3 posters of the UMIDIGI F2 were leaked on the web, which revealed some basic information about the upcoming UMIDIGI F2. Now, let’s dig out more details about it.
UMIDIGI F2 design
According to the leaked posters, the UMIDIGI F2 will adopt a full screen design with a very narrow bezel at the bottom, and there is no notch on the screen. However, at the top-left corner, there is a little punch hole to house the front camera, which is the same as the Honor 20 and Honor 20 Pro. Presently, we still don’t know if there is an in-screen fingerprint sensor.
UMIDIGI F2 rumored specs
● 6.3-inch IPS screen with the resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels
● MediaTek Helio P65 processor
● 48MP quad rear cameras including an ultra wide angle lens, a macro lens and a depth lens.
● 32MP front camera equipped with Samsung ISOCELL GD1 image sensor
● Face unlock support
● 4+128GB memory
● Android 10 operating system
It is rumored that the UMIDIGI F2 will be equipped with a 6.3-inch screen with the resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels, which is the same as its predecessor UMIDIGI F1.
Compared to the UMIDIGI F1, the main upgrades of the UMIDIGI F2 lie in process, cameras and operating system.
The UMIDIGI F2 will be powered by an upgraded processor - MediaTek Helio P65, which is a newly released processor opting for an architecture derived from its big brother the Helio P90. Thus, it is adorned with an Octo-Core comprising: two Cortex-A75 cores and six Cortex-A55 cores for a maximum frequency of 2Ghz. As for the graphics part, it is dedicated to an ARM Mali-G52 ARM GPU. The Helio P65 supports photo sensors with a resolution of 48MP. Compared to the Helio P60, the MediaTek Helio P65 will offer enhanced gaming performance, 2X faster AI-performance and ultra-low power voice on wakeup.
UMIDIGI F2 camera features
The leaked posters also show that the UMIDIGI F2 will offer excellent camera performance. It will be equipped with 48MP quad rear cameras including a 48MP primary lens, an ultra wide angle lens, a macro lens and a depth lens. And one of the posters showing a close-up shot of a butterfly implies that the there will be a macro lens among the quad rear cameras.
The last poster shows a selfie photo shot under low light environment with the Ad text “Bright and clear selfies that stand out”. So it is expected that the UMIDIGI F2 will adopt Samsung ISOCELL GD1 32MP image sensor, which can combine four pixels into one larger pixel for brighter and clearer selfies. In addition, the Samsung ISOCELL GD1 image sensor can deliver more balanced color in low light and low contrast environments.
Therefore, compared to the 16MP + 8MP dual rear cameras on the UMIDIGI F1, the UMIDIGI F2 will offer some great upgrades in the camera performance.
UMIDIGI F2 Android 10 operating system
What attracted us the most is that the UMIDIGI F2 will run on the latest Android 10 operating system, and it may be one of the first batches of smartphones to offer Android 10 operating experience.
The Android 10, newly released on September 3, comes with a series of attractive new features, such as live caption, dark theme, smart reply, privacy controls, etc. Presently, only the Google Pixel Phones will first receive the Android 10 update.
If the leaked posters of the UMIDIGI F2 are true, we will experience the Android 10 system on the upcoming UMIDIGI F2 smartphone soon.
