What if Pocophone F2 had already been announced?

By  Amara Taylor 2019-05-31 259 0

Xiaomi intends to market Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro internationally under the name of Pocophone F2 and Pocophone F2 Pro.

Redmi K20 is Pocophone F2?

Yesterday Xiaomi introduced Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro, two smartphones that offer extremely interesting features at low prices but, for the moment, are limited to the Chinese market. The reason for this choice, according to the source, is that Xiaomi actually intends to market the two models internationally under the name of Pocophone F2 and Pocophone F2 Pro. At this point it is not clear when an official announcement will occur - it seems probable a debut in late June or early July - but it is assumed that both second-generation Pocophone phones will be sold at surprising prices.

If Xiaomi does not make changes to smartphones, both the Poco F2 and F2 Pro will offer large 6.4-inch AMOLED displays with extremely thin frames, a small chin and no notches or holes. The 20 megapixel selfie camera should therefore be activated through a pop-out mechanism.

Yesterday it was also announced that Redmi-branded devices on the back will be equipped with a three-camera configuration consisting of a 48-megapixel primary sensor, a 13-megapixel wide-angle camera and an additional 8-megapixel telephoto lens. It is worth noting, however, that the 48 megapixel sensor of the Pro variant is more advanced and should produce slightly better results.

Finally, and perhaps more importantly, Xiaomi has equipped Redmi K20 with Snapdragon 730 and Redmi K20 Pro with Snapdragon 855; in both cases there is a minimum of 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB of expandable memory and a maximum of 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage space.
