Among the best controllers currently available on the market, the Xbox One controller is particularly well placed in the hearts of gamers. And for those who are even more demanding, there is an "Elite" version, customizable, with additional triggers and other similar improvements.
At its conference at E3 2019, Microsoft announced a second version of this Xbox Elite Controller. "Now more elite than ever", this controller has been redesigned to meet the needs of the most demanding players. The tension of the sticks can be adjusted to adjust their accuracy, the stroke of the triggers has been reduced for better responsiveness, different profiles can now be recorded, all grips are textured to improve grip and prevent slipping of the hand or finger and the battery compartment is replaced by an internal battery promising 40 hours of play on a single charge. A first for an Xbox controller.
Compatibility with smartphones
But one of the most striking features of this new generation of controller is that like the Xbox One S pad, it adopts Bluetooth technology. This means it will be compatible with the latest Xbox models, the future "Scarlett", PCs - without having to buy an additional dongle - but also any device compatible with wireless link technology, as is the case with our smartphones.
If such a controller seems slightly overkill to play Angry Birds and Temple Run, the arrival of new cloud gaming services like Google Stadia or xCloud makes this new compatibility all the more meaningful.
Only for the elite
Enjoy the best of both worldsof a price: 180 euros. A price that not everyone will be willing to pay for a controller. It should also be noted that it will only be available on November 4, 2019, but is already available on pre-order on the official Xbox website.
