It will be the natural evolution of Mi Max 3, a smartphone officially marketed in Italy since July 2018. According to what emerged from the Chinese social network Weibo, this time the screen will reach 7.2 inches with lots of notches (probably drop by drop) and reduced frames. The display will also be protected by a glass Gorilla Glass 5, while the battery will touch the 5,800 mAh with support for rapid charging at 18W.
From a hardware point of view, the Mi Max 4 will almost certainly be based on Qualcomm's Snapdragon 660 processor, coupled with 4 or 6 Gigabytes of RAM. It will integrate the Samsung ISOCELL GM1 48 Megapixel sensor, the same seen on board the recent Redmi Note 7. So, compared to previous generations, particular attention to the photographic sector.
The Pro variant can instead count on the SoC Snapdragon 675, always coupled with 6 Gigabytes of RAM. The 48 Megapixel sensor, in this case, should be the Sony IMX586, the same as the Redmi Note 7 Pro. Obviously, both will be based on Android 9 Pie, almost certainly customized with MIUI 11, or the new version of the graphical interface of Xiaomi on which the Chinese company is now working for some time.
It is difficult to predict sales prices at this time. For Mi Max 4 we are talking about figures that, at the exchange rate, should be around 200/250 euros. All that remains is to wait for the period between May and June, when Xiaomi usually raises the curtain on the new generation of smartphones belonging to the Mi Max range.
