Xiaomi Mijia M365 electric scooter 'loose screws' issues

But today we bring bad news for the users of a Xiaomi electric scooter. And is that, the firm based in Beijing has just launched a statement announcing that a game of its well-known Xiaomi Mi 365 is defective, so they have begun to withdraw them. And the thing is quite serious: there is a serious safety problem that could lead to accidents.
According to the Asian company reported through a press release, some units of the electric scooter Xiaomi Mi 365, suffer a problem in a screw folding system. The problem is that, with the passage of time, it eventually loosens causing the vertical bar of the electric scooter to break. The worst? It happens when you go in motion.
What can I do if I have a defective Xiaomi Mi 365 electric scooter unit?
First of all, say that the affected serial numbers range from 21074/00000316 to 21074/00015107 and from 16133/00541209 to 16133/00544518. These units correspond to sales produced between October 27, 2018 and December 5, 2018, so if you bought a Mi 365 at Christmas, you'd better check the serial number.
Anyway, you can access the website that the Asian manufacturer has enabled, to check if your Xiaomi electric scooter is defective. Is that so? You will see a new window where you will enter an email for the brand to communicate with you. And you can rest assured, as the programme to collect defective units will begin on 1 July in Spain. However, in the meantime, don't think about using the Mi 365 scooter, as you could suffer a serious accident.
On the other hand, say that the firm has confirmed that it will not replace these units with new scooters, simply replace the defective screw for a model that is screwed better. And no, it's a terrible idea to try to tighten the screw yourself: it can be loosened at any time while you're using the Xiaomi Mi 365 electric scooter. And since the repair will be completely free of charge, why take the risk?
