Xiaomi Pocophone F2 rumored specs and benchmark score
Xiaomi Pocophone F2 may be arriving soon. Provisionally called Poco F2, the next smartphone in the premium line from the Chinese manufacturer would have appeared on the GeekBench list, indicating that it will be equipped with a Snapdragon 855 SoC processor and 4 GB of RAM. The smartphone was also seen using Android Q on the platform.
And it is not the first time that Xiaomi's smartphone has had public leaks. In December of last year, the Pocophone F2 was seen in the GeekBench, and this time it appeared with a Snapdragon 845 SoC and 6GB of RAM, running on Android Pie.
The new GeekBench list suggests that the new Pocophone will come equipped with the new, more powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC, but with only 4 GB of RAM. The Poco F2 is also seen running Android Q on the benchmarking platform. The Poco F2 GeekBench list was found by Gizmochina.
In terms of performance, the Poco F2 comes in at 2473 points on the single-core test and 8633 points on the multi-core test. The score obtained by Poco F2 is quite low, especially when compared to the scores in the Samsung Galaxy S10 GeekBench, which is powered by the same Qualcomm processor. For comparison, Samsung's top line scored 4,406 and 10,358 in the single core and multiple core tests of GeekBench 4, respectively.
Reasons to be suspicious
It is important to note that this GeekBench list is not 100% reliable, and there are several reasons to doubt authenticity. The 4GB of RAM in Poco F2 doesn't make much sense, since the basic variant of its predecessor - the Pocophone F1 - was equipped with 6GB of RAM. In addition, surprisingly lower reference scores indicate that something suspicious is happening.
