We have known for several weeks that Xiaomi is preparing a new high-end smartphone under Snapdragon 855, the first one for its Redmi brand. Its official launch is expected in May, but the smartphone has almost no secrets left. Last I heard, it would be called Redmi K20 Pro and not Redmi X or Redmi Pro 2 as some leaks suggested.
Redmi K20 Pro main specifications
The Redmi K20 Pro will put all the assets on its side to hurt the competition, after the Redmi Note 7 mid-range with its unbeatable price-quality ratio. The processor will be a Snapdragon 855 and in this respect, the smartphone will have nothing to envy to the best flagships of 2019. According to the Slashleak site, the SoC would be supported by 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage.
The Redmi K20 Pro is also announced with a triple photo sensor on the rear, including a 48 MP main module. The second is an 8 MP telephoto lens and the third is a 13 MP module with a wide-angle lens. At the front, there will be a 32 megapixel pop-up camera for selfies. Its retractable appearance allows for a flawless design and almost 100% borderless.
Very active on the Weibo social network, Redmi's CEO has already confirmed some of the smartphone's features, including the retractable camera and fingerprint sensor under the screen. He also announces a large battery without specifying its capacity. However, recent leaks indicate a 4000 mAh battery. The Redmi K20 Pro will be official on May 13 or 20 according to the Gizchina website.
Flagship killer Redmi K20 Pro Price and launch time
Redmi's manager had recently posted a screenshot which revealed AnTuTu benchmark scores for the Redmi K20, the score up to 458754. According to this, we can know the performance of K20 is cool. How about price? Redmi is aimed at cost-effectiveness, can the price of K20 Pro will fall below 433 dollars? The Redmi series is launching in China on May 28. Let's look forward to it!
