In his microblog at Weibo, Xiaomi President Lin Bin published a photo showing a mysterious smartphone with a front camera embedded in a round hole in the center of the top of the display and there is a cup of coffee with Mi logo beside the phone. Insiders have already suggested that we are talking about an unannounced Redmi Note 8 with a 64-megapixel camera, which the company has hinted at very recently.
On the upper end of the case you can clearly see the 3.5-mm audio jack, other technical details about the device are not reported. According to the early leaks, Redmi Note 8 will get a Samsung ISOCELL Bright GW1 sensor (1/1.72 inches, pixel size - 0.8 microns) with the function of night shooting in the mode of 16 megapixel to increase the light sensitivity of the camera. Besides, the rumors also reveal that the upcoming Redmi Note 8 will offer 64MP quad rear cameras.
In terms of processor, the Redmi Note 8 series are very likely to be the first batch smartphones to adopt the MediaTek G90T, which is an 8-core processor using 12nm process technology and will bring users enhanced gaming performance.
So far, Xiaomi company hasn’t officially announced other specs and release date about the Redmi Note 8 series, but we can confirm that the next generation Redmi phones have been already on the way.
