On Feb. 18, the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) released a document revealing part of the supply agreement signed between Apple and Qualcomm: Apple will buy Qualcomm's 5G baseband for at least the next four years. Among them, X55 baseband is used from June 1, 2020 to May 31, 2021; x60 baseband is used from June 1, 2021 to May 31, 2022; X65 or X70 baseband is used from June 1, 2022 to May 31, 2024.
Previously, due to the slim design of the new iPhone, the 5G antenna provided by Qualcomm could not be well integrated, so Apple decided to develop its own internal antenna system, but would still use the antenna model provided by Qualcomm as an alternative. If Apple succeeds, its antenna will be used in conjunction with Qualcomm's 5G modulator. As for the settlement between Apple and Qualcomm, some netizens joked, "it seems that the signal of iPhone 12 and iPhone in the next four years has stabilized!"
