Five new iPhone models will be available in 2020: the shipment volume is 85 million units

Guo Mingyi mentioned that he believes Apple will simultaneously release new iPhone and Sub-6GHz iPhone,Sub-6GHz+mmWave iPhone supporting mmWave, which are on schedule and are expected to ship in late 2020 Q3 or early 2020 Q4. At the same time, he expects shipments of the new iPhone to be 8, 000-85 million in 2020, compared with 75 million for the iPhone 11 series in 2019, and 1520% for models that support the mmWave version.

 

In addition to iPhone, Guo Mingyi also predicted that Foxconn's Android mobile phone shipments are expected to increase significantly compared with the same period last year. Foxconn Group currently assembles mobile phones mainly from Huawei and Xiaomi, and shipments to these two customers increased significantly year-on-year in 2020, about 1520% and 2530%, respectively. Among them, Foxconn's Huawei mobile phone shipments will increase by 1520% year-on-year to about 50 million units in 2020. Shipments of Xiaomi phones will grow by 2530 per cent year-on-year to about 45 million units in 2020.
