Foreign media: the performance of Samsung's new Galaxy S20 may not be as good as that of iPhone 8p

Samsung will hold a new product launch in San Francisco on Feb. 11, when Samsung's Galaxy S20 series and Galaxy Z Flip may be unveiled one after another. The Galaxy Z Flip will be Samsung's second folding screen phone. Compared with the Galaxy Fold, the phone will be a folding screen phone that folds up and down in half, and it will be lighter and thinner, and the price may be cheaper than some of the iPhone 11. But in terms of sales, the Galaxy S20 series is still the main model.

If nothing happens, the Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20 + and Galaxy S20 Ultra will become Samsung's best-selling smartphones of the year in 2020. Interestingly, however, the latest news shows that Samsung's new phone will lag far behind its biggest competitor Apple in terms of phone performance.

Earlier this week, the leak revealed the results of Samsung's upcoming benchmark performance test of the Galaxy S20+. It is reported that the model of the phone is SM-G981U,. Some people have been using it to run Geekbench 5 tests.

Performance Test of Samsung Galaxy S20

Samsung's Galaxy S20 + scored 923 in the single-core test and 3,267 in the multi-core test. Galaxy S20 scored 561 in the single-core Geekbench 5 test and 2358 in the multi-core test. Last year, iPhone 11 scored 1328 and 3327 on the Geekbench 5 test, while iPhone 11 Pro scored 1330 and 3425. This is not over., iPhone X scored 919 and 2374 on the Geekbench 5 benchmark, while iPhone 8 Plus scored 923 and 2326, respectively.

Although there is some embarrassment on the surface of the data, the quality of a phone cannot be determined entirely by the data, and we can expect Samsung's new camera and other new features to make up for this deficiency.
