If anything has attracted attention this year in the world of smartphones, at least until now, it has been the arrival of folding smartphones. But the models we have seen so far are only the beginning of what we will see later, especially if we take as a reference the new patent of a Huawei Mate X 2 that could fold twice on its screen. And it is expected to fix all the problems that appears on Samsung Galaxy fold.

Two folds for a larger screen

Patents always leave a hope to see how far different hardware companies can go. Engineers let their imagination run wild and come up with ideas on paper hoping that they will someday come true. Not a few have been filed away in a drawer, but the end result of many of them converges into small parts of many of these ideas.

Huawei Mate X 2 Patents

This is what happens now in Huawei's house, where they begin to see the calm after the storm. And it is that today has been shown a report of the firm that raises a phone that folds twice on its screen. The boys of LetsGoDigital have been the ones who have echoed these first designs that are raised in two different models. One of them leaves a space for a frame to house the receiver and the rest of the devices, allowing the side folding system to expand and contract the display in the same way as if it were a triptych.

As can be seen from the exposed design patent, Huawei Mate X 2 has an inner folding screen design, a full screen and a smaller screen on the outside; on the left side of the phone, similar to Huawei Mate X's design, there is a long strip design with a camera and sensor.

There is a button on the right side of the phone, and the SIM card slot is located directly above the phone. It is important to note that the design drawing is missing the USB port. According to letsgodigital, the smartphone may only be recharged wirelessly, but it cannot be ruled out that the USB port will be added to the final model.

A Huawei Mate X 2 on the way

According to these patents, Huawei could be working on a Mate X Fold 2 could be folded twice on his screen. The Chinese company has been one of the pioneers in the sector, especially after presenting to the world its Huawei Mate X Fold.
