What September is for the iPhone, October is for new Macs and iPad Pros. One year after, Apple introduced its iPad Pro with a new design and USB-C port, it seems to be time for an upgrade at the end of October. The well-known iOS developer and hobby leaker Sonny Dickson has been given a mockup of the iPad Pro from his reliable source: It has the same camera as the iPhone 11 Pro.
iPad Pro: Apple packs Triple-Cam into its professional tablet
With the iPhone 11 Pro, Apple has announced a new triple camera that, according to information from Sonny Dickson, will land in the upcoming iPad Pro as well. In this way, the company is standardizing its top models not only in terms of naming, but also in other parts of the equipment.
In the 2018 iPad Pro, Apple had installed a camera that resembles the iPhone Xr. With the possible release of the new iPad Pro models in October, the expensive tablets seem to get the same camera functions that Apple missed with its iPhone 11 Pro models. These include super wide-angle shooting, night mode, and generally high photo and video quality. In addition, 4K videos should be easy to record and immediately edit on the device.
Dickson notes that the iPad Pro Mockup camera comes without the protective glass cover of the iPhone 11 Pro. According to Dickson, this could be a design change for the tablet, or the detail has been saved, as the mockup is only intended to show the final shape of the device.
iPad Pro (2019): A13X chip and well-known design
Nothing is known about the further equipment. But it's obvious that a fast A13X processor will be built into the upcoming iPad Pro. The 2018 predecessor used an A12X chip that was even more powerful than the iPhone X's A12 chip. It would also be obvious that Apple would also use its specially developed U1 chip here, which celebrated its premiere in the iPhone 11. This is an ultra wideband chip in order to specify the Airdrop function more precisely and to be able to locate other devices with U1 chips more precisely. Apple also calls it a GPS for the living room.
In addition to the new iPad Pro, which will probably appear again in 11- and 12.9-inch diagonals, the introduction of the Macbook Pro with 16-inch display is to be expected. In addition, the Mac Pro and the expensive Pro XDR display are finally coming onto the market.
