According to CCTV News, Meng's team of lawyers has asked Canadian Attorney General David Rametti (David Lametti) to pass a federal law to end the judicial process of Canada's extradition of Meng to the United States.
The United States has asked Canada to extradite Meng Yuezhou, and her actions do not constitute a crime in Canada. If Meng Wanzhou is extradited in accordance with the request of the United States, there will be the possibility of harming Canada's own interests.
The statement pointed out that historically, in cases inconsistent with the foreign policy of the United States, the Canadian government has given priority to upholding its own values and judicial principles.
A spokesman for the Canadian Attorney General's Office had no comment, the Washington Post reported.
It is reported that Meng will attend the British Columbia Supreme Court (B.C. Supreme Court) extradition hearing, the hearing is expected to start in January next year.
