The Moto G8 Plus (XT2019) will feature a 6.3-inch full HD+ resolution IPS display (2280 x 1080). There's a notch on top for the 25 megapixel front camera, and a chin on the bottom without the Motorola logo.
Inside, we'll have the Snapdragon 665 octa-core processor, 4GB RAM and 64GB or 128GB expandable microSD storage. The battery will be 4,000 mAh, just as we had anticipated; it can be charged through the USB-C port with the Turbo Power adapter.
It will be 9.1 mm thick and 188 g. The device has a fingerprint reader at the back and a 3.5 mm headphone input. Speaking of connectivity, we will have 802.11ac dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, support for two cellular chips, 4G LTE Cat.13, and NFC (depending on the region).
In addition, the Moto G8 Plus should be released in the blue and red colors running the Android 9 Pie operating system.
Moto G8 Plus will have triple camera and Action Cam
The highlight is the triple camera. The 48-megapixel main sensor lets you capture more light in low-light situations. In addition, we'll have a 16-megapixel sensor with an ultrawide lens and 117-degree field of view - it will be an "Action Cam" just like the Motorola One Action. There will also be a 5 MP sensor for depth effects.
From the images of disclosure, the Moto G8 Plus seems to have a quadruple camera, but this is not the case: as the WinFuture explains, one of the four holes in the rear corresponds to the system of auto focus laser.
Moto G8 Plus price and release date
The Moto G8 Plus will be a budget mid-range smartphone, so it is expected to be priced under $200. The phone will be presented together with Moto E6 Play and Moto G8 Play in an event in St. Paul, Brazil on October 24th.
