On August 23, Lu Weibing, vice president of Xiaomi Group and general manager of Hongmi Redmi brand, revealed on Weibo that the processor configuration of Redmi Note 8 Pro, MediaTek G90T, said its overall performance was "only one drop behind its competitor Kirin 810." But much more than the Snapdragon 710. In the latest version of the Antutu benchmark test, Redmi Note 8 Pro scores as high as 283333 points.

According to Lu Weibing, the MediaTek G90T scores higher than the Snapdragon 730, and the processor has a stronger GPU than the Kirin 810, but overall performance is not as good as the latter. In addition, officials say the Redmi Note 8 Pro has added a series of optimization for the game experience, such as full frame performance, liquid-cooled heat dissipation, network optimization, sensitive touch control, and ultra-long range, as well as exclusive game handles and other accessories.

At the same time, Lu Weibing said that MediaTek has made great progress in recent years, some of which are used in flagship products, and Huawei / OPPO/vivo is using MTK.

In other specs, officials call the Redmi Note 8 series a "four-camera King Kong". The new phone will have four cameras on the back, 64 million of which will feature the first Samsung ISOCELL Bright GW1 sensor, and the new phone will also have a rear fingerprint.

The Redmi Note 8 series will have two editions: Redmi Note 8 and the Redmi Note 8 Pro. They will be officially released on Aug. 29, and according to previous news, the new phone will support NFC function and 18W fast charging.
