Samsung Exynos 9830 will have four Cortex A77 cores to offer enhanced performance
According to the Ice Universe leaker in its account on the Chinese social network Weibo, Samsung seems not yet to adopt the exclusive architecture of Mongoose cores in the next high-performance chipset, but continue using the cores with Cortex architecture of ARM.
This way, instead of Samsung presenting a mixed architecture as in the Exynos 9825 offering eight cores, two of them with Mongoose M4 architecture, another two with Cortex-A75 and the remaining four with Cortex-A55 architecture, the Exynos 9830 would remove the successors of M4, which would be the M5.
With this Samsung should present the Exynos 9830 with the same eight cores, but four of them Cortex-A55 focused on energy efficiency and low performance need, and four more Cortex-A77 focused exclusively on high performance.
Samsung Exynos 9830 SoC: release date
There is still no forecast to announce the Galaxy S11 line, but if Samsung keeps the same date window as the previous year, it is possible that we will see the new flagships being presented at the end of February 2020.
