[gearbest News] on the opening day of CES 2020, Liu Yongshang, minister of SK Telecom MNO, formally met with Dai Lei, CEO of Baiteng, and announced that he would cooperate in the development, application and marketing of integrated in-vehicle infotainment systems. This also marks that SK Telecom will officially enter the mobile travel industry.

In the field of self-driving technology, in-vehicle infotainment system is an indispensable core component, which includes automobile internal driving information service system and entertainment information service system. Therefore, with the gradual improvement of autopilot technology, the importance of the system needs to be enhanced. In this regard, SK Telecom related personnel said that at present, integrated vehicle infotainment system services can be provided through TMap mobile navigation applications, audio source streaming media playback applications and video content service applications.

At that time, SK Telecom demonstrated the system in CES. For example, when a car runs out of fuel, the on-board display screen will give a corresponding prompt and plan the route of a nearby gas station. On the way, users can also pass the time through entertainment services. Of course, the back seat is also equipped with a display screen, which allows front and rear passengers to share content. SK Telecom said that self-driving cars will become a home-like home in the future.

Baiteng Motor, a highly anticipated electric car maker, showed off the 48-inch dashboard display panel of the M-Byte electric vehicle in this CES, which can recognize the appearance of the user and make it easier to operate during the trip. In addition, Liu Yongshang also said that the concept of cars in the future will turn to intelligence, and they hope to bring a better service experience to the majority of users through cooperation with Baiteng.
