Recently, LetsGoDigital has once again discovered a patent pointing to an "LG folding screen phone". It is reported that the patent was formally submitted to the China intellectual property Office on July 22, 2019, and was approved and announced on January 17, 2020. At present, it has been included in the WIPO design library.
According to the patented design sketch, we can see that the device is designed with a thin frame at the bottom and left, with a relatively thick top frame and a built-in double lens with a flash. There is no border on the right side of the fuselage, and the phone screen can be surrounded all the time and extends all over the back, which is similar to the Xiaomi MIX Alpha's surround screen design. The device does not have a rear camera, and the two cameras on the front can be used for selfies, daily photos and video recording. The back screen can be flipped freely to increase the visual interface.
In addition, the new patent describes other configurations, such as speakers at the top and bottom of the new LG, microphones on both sides, and a MicroUSB port for charging at the bottom. Most crucially, there is a slender button at the top of the fuselage, which may be built to turn it on / off, and the screen locks the control button.
