The South Korean factory of Samsung Z Flip was forced to close because an employee was infected with the new crown virus

 

A Samsung Galaxy Z Flip factory in South Korea was shut down after an employee was diagnosed with the new crown virus, according to foreign media reports. The factory in Guiwei, South Korea, is mainly responsible for the production of Samsung folding screen phones, including Samsung Galaxy Z Flip and Galaxy Fold. It is reported that the entire factory will be closed until February 24, while the employee access will not be opened until February 25.

Employees who have come into contact with confirmed patients have now been placed in the self-isolation zone and undergo the necessary tests, Samsung said in a press release.

 

The closure of the tortoise tail plant is unlikely to have any significant impact on Samsung's smartphone manufacturing, as it accounts for only a small portion of Samsung's total smartphone production.
