Samsung Galaxy Fold will go on sale in South Korea at Sept. 6
The Samsung Galaxy Fold will go on sale in South Korea today (Sept. 6) and will gradually expand to other countries around the world. At the same time, Samsung domestic consumers default to buy the 5G version, can not buy the pure 4G LTE version of the Galaxy Fold.
Samsung Galaxy Fold will go on sale in France, Germany and the UK on September 18
Samsung will then officially announce in Europe that the Galaxy Fold, is expected to go on sale in France, Germany and the UK on September 18. These markets will receive the LTE version of Galaxy Fold by default and the 5G version of Galaxy Fold will be officially launched by Samsung to the UK and Germany in the coming weeks.
Why Samsung Galaxy Fold 5G will not be sold in the US
Notably, Samsung's official spokesman confirmed on the IFA 2019 in Berlin that Samsung will not sell the Galaxy Fold 5G in the United States in the future. Officials did not say why.
There is speculation that Samsung's move may be due to a lack of support from local operators. AT&T is the only mobile operator in the United States to sell the Galaxy Fold, and although T-Mobile initially said it would sell the phone, it decided not to sell the Samsung Galaxy Fold after the Galaxy Fold delayed launch.
