Why Xiaomi MIX Alpha failed to mass production? Here comes the official response

Cui Baoqiu, vice president of the Xiaomi Group and chairman of the Xiaomi Technical Committee, said on Weibo that the million-dollar Award is the highest technology award of the Xiaomi Group and one of the key tasks of the Group's Technical Committee in 2019.

Xiaomi MIX Alpha was released at the end of September last year, using a surround screen design, the fuselage was wrapped by a whole screen, extending from both sides to the back, holding it in the hand as if holding a whole screen, which was very bright, and caused a lot of heated discussion among netizens at the beginning of the release.

At the launch of the plane, Xiaomi officials said the plane is expected to be produced on a small scale in December 2019. In the twinkling of an eye, it is January 2020, and there is no news on the Internet about when the phone will be mass produced, which has caused many netizens' speculation. 

Now, a digital blogger posted on Weibo that Cui Baoqiu said in an interview that, Xiaomi MIX Alpha already has mass production capacity, and the reason why mass production has not been achieved is because mass production is not determined by technology research and development alone, but also needs to be coordinated with China, mobile phone departments and so on.

However, Cui Baoqiu did not make a similar response in the interview, but only expressed the hope that everyone would not read the matter too much. We will continue to report on the follow-up mass production of Xiaomi MIX Alpha.
