I have tested on:
1.)Camcorder – SONY AX53 – you need: MSA-MIS Standard Hot Cold Shoe Adapter Converter for Sony Multi Interface
2.YI 4K+ - you need: YI Type C to 3.5 MM External Microphone Convert Adapter Cable
3.Smartphone – Samsung J5, Motorola G5S Plus

My experience in room:
1- Camcorder Sony AX53 – 30% better with microphone
2- YI 4K+ - hard to compare, because original Sound recordings from all Action cams is not usable for a good movie (sports, holiday, ….) - +500%
3- Spartphones: Samsung J5 - 50% better with microphone, Motorola G5S Plus - Samsung J5 - 70% better with microphone
Experience outside:
There is nothing to compare – original sound recordings without external microphone are mostly unusable because of wind – you cannot mount DeadCat on Action Cam, Smarphone or Camdorder

Very little money for big improvement !

Habe das Mikro seit mehr als einem halben Jahr und bin immer noch begeistert. Benutze es auf einer 700d und seltener mit dem Handy. Klangfarbe, Lautstärke sind ausgewogen, das Mikro läuft ohne zusätzlichen Batterien und ist sehr transportfreundlich. Die deadcat und der Halter sind im Lieferumfang. Der Halter hat einen Blitzschuhadapter und ein Stativgewinde, kann also auf der Kamera aber auch auf der Tonangel verwendet werden. Dann wird ein Verlängerungskabel benötigt.

Il microfono è ben costruito e da una sensazione di un buon prodotto tutt'altro che economico.
Praticamente viene fornito full optional: con cavo dslr, un cavo smartphone, filtro vento e sacchetto trasporto. Ottimo per migliorare l'audio nella piccola/media distanza su prodotti che non eccellono proprio in quello (actioncam/dslr). Soddisfatto.

Nella lunga distanza si perde un po nonostante sia direzionale.
