    We live in a old house with low ceilings thus could only accommodate a hugger fan, the fan is quiet and works better than we figured it would - we run the family room one at medium or high, in the family room the lighting could be better but that is the tradeoff for having a fan without a lightkit - we did not have the room to to that, the lighting in the bedroom is fine as the fan is right over the bed

    The LED light is bright without being blinding, and the installation was pretty quick and easy, moving too much air to really sleep comfortably at night, and the fast speed is ridiculous, we're making due with the low speed by running our A/C for an hour or so before bed and then turning that off and the fan on low, the medium speed is fine for keeping the room comfortable

    At the time we couldn't find a single ceiling fan we liked, it needed to be flush mounted and brushed nickel to match the other fixtures, we lived for a year with a nice light fixture but air movement was definitely missed as our alarm system is on two of the three bedroom windows so they must remain closed when we arm the alarm before bed

    The instructions were almost useless, it included very general instruction which didn't necessarily coordinate with the light fixture I purchased, the decorative round nuts that secure the fixture to the ceiling are difficult to handle, I don't know that I will every be able to remove the fixture from my ceiling

    We bought two for each bedroom in our home and it looks great and gives off a nice breeze, our bedrooms are small with lower ceilings and the compact fan suits it, since we already have sufficient lighting in the room, we used the metal cover instead of the light which comes with the fan and it looks even nicer
