What is the Pocophone F1?

The premium mid-range market is fast becoming one of the most aggressive in mobile. Companies such as OnePlus with its OnePlus 6 highlight the appeal of high-end specs at a lower price – but now, new player Pocophone is taking things to extremes with the new ₹20,999 (approximately £230/€260/$300) Pocophone F1.

If you haven’t encountered Pocophone before, you’re likely not alone. The new fledgeling company, supported by Chinese tech giant Xiaomi, is looking to shake things up with its first device, the Pocophone F1 – the new “Master of Speed” (Pocophone’s words, not mine).

The phone first launched in India, where Xiaomi has quickly become the biggest smartphone brand there is. Now, the company is progressively extending the F1’s reach to new markets both east and west of its origin.

Unlike Xiaomi’s own phones, which usually see availability radiating outward from China, the Pocophone F1 has been built from the ground up with the global market in mind. According to the company’s head of product, Jai Mani, there aren’t plans to release the F1 within China at all.

In essence, Pocophone and the F1 represent a new way for Xiaomi-based hardware and software to reach new customers in more markets.

Pocophone F1 – Design

As far as affordability is concerned, Pocophone has a few tricks to save costs whilst still delivering as a solid smartphone package. This concept most tangibly takes the form of the phone’s polycarbonate body. You won’t find a glass back or a curved metal frame running along the F1’s edge. Instead, you’ll get a mix of plastic and more plastic but assembled in such a way that the company has ensured the F1 still look plenty stylish and feels the part in hand.

Lo compré por sus características que sobre el papel deberían ser más que suficiente para cualquier usuario de Android un procesador de última generación y de gamaa alta, con una memoria más que suficiente para poder con todo es un teléfono con una construcción buena bien en la mano no es tan malo la trasera de plástico como he leído .
La cámara en general está muy por encima en este rango de precios buena y rápida.
La batería es de lo mejor que he probado tiene una duración sorprendente .
El reconocimiento facial una gozada al igual que el lector de huellas van de maravilla incluso con poca o ninguna luz.
La navegación por gestos estilo iOS comodisima.

Pero llegamos al punto débil la pantalla, lo peror es que esta mal hecha existen fugas de luz sobre todo en la parte inferior que no son molestas pero se notan mucho se puede intentar disimular aumentando el contraste pero sabes que sigue ahí .
El noche es demasiado grande no deja ver las notificaciones un grave problema se han cargado las notificaciones como las entendemos en Android, espero esto lo piensen dos veces y lo actualicen de alguna manera. En cuanto al Launcher, cumple bien y es cómodo
En cuanto al precio de Gearbest insuperable
Lo único malo tardaron mucho en tener stock una vez pagado casi 17 días de espera más 15 de envío. Pero mercio la pena por el precio.
Y como siempre llego bien y sin problema con aduana
Es el cuarto teléfono comprado el Gearbest y siempre sin ningún problema son muy buenos es ello.

Celulares da Xiaomi dispensam apresentações. Mas esse carinha aqui não é um celular comum da Xiaomi. Sua subsidiária resolveu inovar, lançando um celular bom, com chip de ponta (snapdragon 845), ótima memória (6gb ram), e armazenamento pra não deixar ninguém preocupado em apagar nada para instalar novos programas (versões de 64, 128 e 256 gb). Esse é a versão de 6 + 128, cor preta. Pode vir em vermelho ou azul também. A tela tem uma ótima resolução ips, porém tem o famigerado notch. Adquiri em uma ótima promoção no 11.11, e o valor final (com taxas alfandegárias de aprox 220, somadas ao envio e seguro) chegou a custar por volta de 1700,00. Ainda assim ao meu ver compensou, pensando que seu hardware é comparado ao galaxy s9. As câmeras são bem boas (12+5 na traseira e 20mp na dianteira), e filma em 4K. Pode usar o cartão de memória para expandir, sacrificando assim um dos slots de cartão sim. Ele somente é dual caso não utilize o cartão micro sd (max 128)
O som é mono e fica do lado inferior direito, mas conta com quick charge (sem carregamento wireless), e tem desbloqueio facial ou por digital localizado convenientemente na tampa traseira embaixo das câmeras.
Celular ótimo custo beneficio, rápido, e já com possibilidade de atualizar a miui para v10, juntamente com Android 9 pie.

I bought this phone 2 moths ago. Easy set up and connect with google. Nice scream size and design. Performance is very quickly, a lot of storage and camera is not the best but is super decent. I also bought a tempered glass protector and leather wallet case separably. The leather navy blue wallet gives it a touch of excellence and monopolizes all eyes.
RECOMENDATIONS:
-I do not like the notch (hide my notification and if you take it out that reduces your scream)
-it is come with a clear back case ( so cheap but wherever, is free)
-super cheap charger and also very cheap connector for USA plug ( this cheap charger and connector deteriorate the battery's average life)
-I do not like the blue color because is plastic and is weird.
-too heavy in my opinion.
-if you want face unlock option, users have to change in settings the region to Hong Kong. ( lets see if any problem comes with it .. ha ha
OVERALL:
This cellphone is not cheap and it needs a little bit of improvement from XIAOMI. but you know what????.... the performance is astonishing so far!!

To start off, the delivery of this item as long as it's in stock, is very quick, the extra $10 for dhl shippingis worth it. Ordered this item October 29 and received it November 6, and the best part
? No Philippine customs to try and steal the product since it's carried by DHL Express.

If you want a review of the phone itself, i suggest watching Unbox Therapy's 4 week review of the phone to get a more in depth view on how it works. It's pretty much thr same experience you will get.

The seller was kind enough to keep you updated on until it is sent over to DHL and the DHL website and notification service is very much useful with constant updated to where your package is.

Overall, the experience with gearbest and the seller is a perfect 5/5 for me. As for the pricing and payment, also a 5/5 since the website accept Paypal (specifically international Paypal and Paypal Credit) which not a lot of sellers in the Philippines actually support. The price i got it at is pretty much what the price should be, no hidden charges and what not. Item is 100% functional with no visible defects and works with any of the carriers (Globe/Smart) in the Philippines.

One thing is certain - the Pocophone F1 is the cheapest Snapdragon 845 phone money can buy today. But instead of just making an okay phone with a high-end chipset, Xiaomi went all-in and made one of the best all-around devices we've seen in quite a while.

The Pocophone F1 has everything - from the screen, through the powerful hardware, through the large battery, to the capable cameras. The deal is sweetened by the tiny bits such as stereo speakers, FM radio, expandable storage.

Il cellulare è davvero una sorpresa, in positivo si intende. Partendo dal fatto che mi aspettavo le recensioni di questo smartphone fossero state pompate dalla Xiaomi, ma mi devo ricredere, vale davvero ogni soldo speso. Lo sto usando da due settimane e devo dire che mi stupisce sempre di più. Oltre a essere velocissimo e performante, non ha nessun tipo di Lag, di nessun genere. Il display è fantastico, con colori brillanti e vividi. I neri sono anch'essi ottimali, ma nulla di spettacolare essendo un display ips. Anche il comparto sonoro è stupefacente, con una cassa stereo molto potente che ad alto volume squilla ai limiti dell'assurdo, con il suono che però risulta pulito ed è definito. L'auricolare per le chiamate si sente anchessi molto bene. La ricezione è ottima, non perde linea in nessun caso. E ha inoltre il 4G per entrambe le schede che funziona simultaneamente, spettacolo. Inoltre il sistema di raffreddamento al liquidi rende lo smartphone sempre fresco e performante, con scalda menti veramente rarissimi, ovvero quando elabora all'estremo.
Che dire infine, qui la qualità dello smartphone supera enormemente il prezzo.

Il telefono è velocissimo grazie al processore Snapdragon 845 e la scheda grafica Adreno 630, ho provato PUBG Mobile con grafica impostata su HD e risulta davvero fluido il gioco. La fotocamera è buona ma non proprio Top, a confronto all'LG G4 le foto sono un po meglio sul G4, però c'è la possibilità di scattare le foto con la modalità Manuale, dove si può modificare la ISO, il bilanciamento del bianco, ecc. Le foto vengono meglio a confronto alla modalità base anche se ci vuole più tempo per impostare i vari parametri. Il Google assistant funziona bene, ma se pronuncio OK Google non si apre, bisogna cliccare manualmente sul microfono, in un aggiornamento successivo dovrebbero implementare questa funzione. La nota negativa riguarda l'audio dello speaker che fa abbastanza pena, cioè si sentono zero bassi, poco i medi e molto gli alti, con l'equalizzatore diciamo si può migliorare la qualità del suono. Mentre il jack per le cuffie funziona bene. Nella custodia c'è il caricatore per la ricarica veloce, un cavo tipo c, una spilla per aprire lo slot della sim e una back cover.
