Xiaomi Mi 8 4G Phablet Global Version

Bought this by accident but decided to use it on my own. The quality is really nice. Screen is vivid and bright, have several options to calibrate it. Chip-set is top notch SD 845 so all tasks are done with no lag. Also I liked sound, specially in headphones, it's really crisps and nice, maybe lacked just a bit of loudness but overall it's very good. Oh and blazing fast face recognition - it's very nice and works even in total dark blazingly fast.What I don't like is that there are no 3.5 mm audio jack, no IP water and dust resistance, rounded screen corners hide some information, if you make full screen mode that notch also hide useful information specially in games, so make games not compatible to run in full screen. Also I don't like MIUI OS, it's so messy, settings are not grouped, for example display settings are separated into three different sections. And all other small thing what you expect to get from the flagship but you don't and it's sad because Xiaomi started there road from creating MIUI and just later they started to make phones. No IR so you can't use it as a remote controller for your TV or other home technics. That big notch is too big and you can see how Xiaomi used it badly because bottom line with clock, battery and other information have unused space on the top.Overall. It's a good phone but just if you get it less than 300-320 $, it will get support many years as it's a companies flagship and later it will be used for third party modings, so it's a safe future buy.

After watching many review on YouTube I decided to go for this one.Coming from a Samsung S6 (which serves here as a reference point) I definitively don't regret my decision.Pros- usb-c port seems really to be sturdier than the flimsy mini USB port from my Galaxy s6 ( broke twice on the Samsung!)- doesn't heat up as much as S6- long lasting battery life (1.5 day compared to 0.75- 1 day as S6 )- big and nice screen- higher volume output than S6 (my hungy Beyerdynamics headphones are happier)- good reception and call quality (at least as good as S6)- nice and snappy processing power- miui is nice ! (swipe gestures in miui 10 come in handy as the screen is quite large)- face recognition works great night and day)- built quality (buttons etc..)cons- bloat ware (but it doesn't really affect anything so far)- those who are new to miui will have to Google a few things once they start personalizing their operating systems (I for example had to search how to change the default browser..)many people seem to be bothered by other 2 things :- the large notch witch doesn't bother me at all (seems there is an infrared sensor for face recognition. face recognition is brilliant - also in complete darkness.. it's worth the larger notch.. I can still see time and battery percentage witch is totally fine with me..- no audio jack (the included adapter is of good quality and does the job just fine- I keep it always on my headphones)bottom line : I can fully recommend this phone ! I now gained even so much confidence in xiaomi that I ordered the amazfit bib smartwatch

Definitely a flagship device from Xiaomi. All features and characteristics as described on the device product page. True native Global rom installed. Great device! A couple of days later and I would definitely recommend it.Quick charge 4 is more of a marketing tag since there is no quick charger 4 from Xiaomi inside the package (the charger delivered is a regular quick charger 3.0), notice that some say that quick charging 3.0 is more than enough (quick means more heat, and batteries do not like heat).NFC runs smoothly, great Wifi antenna and no issues with LTE (works perfectly on band 20 - 800Mhz), sam efor GPS, no issues.Having a camera with OIS on the Mi8 does make a difference! Battery usage is well managed by the system, enough for a day of heavy usage with no need for extra charging.- Gearbest EU priority delivery was a breeze, although the package could be more protective. No bubble plastic, just the plain and simple typical plastic wrapper.Cons.: - No notification bar icons (from apps) YET, you only have the hours on the left side of the notch and network icons (GSM and Wi-Fi) plus the battery icon on the right side - Running Global rom MIUI 10.0.3.0 stable. This is an important issue that Xiaomi is taking quite some time to solve. - Face unlock does not work on all European countries yet (you may have to choose manually another region to enable it), not a dealbreaker for me.

I ordered the Mi 8 6GB/64GB on Nov 12 along with other things. Due to the high demand of the product they ran out of stock. I waited a little longer considering that they were still out of stock, it occurred to me to pay the difference for the 128GB & 6GB model. It was the best decision. That product if they had it in stock, and they sent it to me immediately. The package arrived in less than 5 days on December 3 via DHL.The Smartphone is beautiful to look at. Global version with European charger and closed Bootloader. I have been using it for more than 1 week and it remains as fluid as the first day, the battery nothing to envy other rivals, lasts more than 1 day with normal use, social networks, calls, gps, a couple of games and photos.The camera is spectacular, it takes some very sharp photos and at night they are quite good. The OIS in photos and videos makes it an excellent camera to take into account.The fingerprint reader is the best I've seen, the fastest of the high range in my opinion, and 3D facial recognition is excellent, I even dare say, better than the iPhone X, faster and more accurate, even in absolute darkness.The attention that Gearbest gave me was excellent, via live chat and via email.I leave my review hoping it will help the buyers. The wait was totally worth it. As a tip, before buying, check the stimated shiping time, and ask via live chat if the product you want is in stock.

Все уже давно знают что это за аппарат с его плюсами и минусами. Мне он достался 11.11 по отличной цене с купоном 340 долларов. Без сарказма, в этот день магазин работал просто отлично. Сначала заказал версию на 128 гигов, минут через 30 он уже был отправлен, выпал купон для версии 64, написал в чат, мне предложили отменить первый заказ и тут же отменили, только подождать денег пришлось, снаала пока почта вернет им посылку а потом пайпал и банк, но вообще без проблем и дня четыре все заняло. Вернулось в рублях столько сколько сняли за покупку. Тем временем опять же минут через 30 второй мой заказ был отправлен. Итого с загрузкой почты все равно аппарат пришел быстро, 3 декабря забрал с почты в Саратове. Запаковали правда плохо, просто в пакет, я бы поставил минус конечно, но коробки сяоми делает топ за свои деньги и ничего не повредилось.Потестировав могу сказать что рекомендую и магазин и аппарат. Все работает, шустро и плавно. Потом может уйду на кастомы, как miui опять достанет, но вроде она становится лучше, главное сам андроид обновляли бы (я не большой любитель miui, чистый андроид мне лучше). В бета канале уже 9 андроид.По акциям и с купонами тут лучшие предложения по сяоми, по другим брендам сказать не могу, тут я брал только mi band 1s года два назад, работает до сих пор, но это другая история.

Si l'on compare les spécifications du téléphone, on peut remarquer que la fiche technique s'apparente à un certain modèle de la concurrence Coréenne pour un prix 3 fois moindre. Il a même l'air plus performant !Les plus : interface très réactive, appareils photo de bonne qualité, batterie performante se chargeant rapidement par usb-c, écran lumineux pour lequel on peut régler la température des couleurs (couleurs chaudes pour éviter la lumière bleue), l'encoche permet de loger le haut-parleur, l'appareil photo avant et différents capteurs sans que l'écran ne perde en taille.Les moins : la commande vocale "Ok Google" n'est pas disponible car il n'est pas possible d'accéder aux paramètres d'activation (ils sont grisés). Une mise à jour corrective serait la bienvenue !Autre problème qui, je pense, n'est qu'une question d'habitude : l'encoche prend la moitié de la barre de notifications, ce qui empêche la réception des notifications dans cette barre. Il faut regarder l'écran de verrouillage pour accéder aux notifications.Malgré ces deux soucis, je ne suis pas déçue de mon achat, et je peux dire que je recommande cet article !

Bought this phone, becuase I wanted something with good camera. I used before Xiaomi Note 5, Xiaomi Mi A2 and tried also Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite, but this phone is the best. It has better performance, lcd is fantastic and photos are really good. And also one thing, This is 6,21" and is smaller than 5,99" Xiaomi Note 5 or any other Xiaomi I mention here, but visible screen is bigger.
