Ulefone ARMOR 4G Smartphone

+ the phone is really good in surviving the falls, water, dust, sand and other usually smartphone-harming stuff. I've been extensively using it for 5 months or so, it got some scratches on the rubber bumper and screen protector which was included in the original shipment is wearing out too, but it's really nothing considering how much beating it took ( :

+ the system is pretty fast and works basically without lags or stuttering with all the usual stuff like facebook/messenger/whatsapp/browser/spotify/etc.

+ 32gb of internal storage, an option to insert a microSD.

+ battery holds the charge for a day of extensive use (4G, listening the music, getting calls), that's OK for an Android smartphone.

+ rubber bumper and backside make the grip on the phone solid and comfortable, doesn't slide out even if the hands are slippery.

+ hardware buttons are really good, also you can use the usual software-touch buttons below the screen - they are still there, even if they aren't marked.

Suggestion

- the language settings tend to reset to default after the restart. I suppose it's some kind of Android bug, doesn't really impact anything.

- SOS button is pretty useless and cannot be reassigned. I'd prefer to have lock/unlock button instead.

- this isn't really a con, but I'd suggest to get Bluetooth headphones to listen the music - 3.5mm jack is buried very deeply to ensure IP68, so you will need to have that longer jack provided in the original package with you. Also, I suppose it might be broke after some time and you would be pressed to search for replacement.

Phone is working great only negative about the phone is the special USB micro cable you need for charging. You also need a special cable for connecting your earbead/headphone. The sound quality of the phone through the earbuds/headphone is not great compared to a Ulefone Paris (with same earbuds). If it is because of the extension cable i not sure. I will try some bluetooth earbuds to see if that makes a difference.

Overall the phone is good. It is fast enough and has great deal of storage and memory. The build quality is good.

Suggestion

You need special cables for earbuds/headphone and charging cable.
Sound quality through earbuds/headphone not that great.

Bellissimo Rugged phone di casa Ulefone, l'Armor si presenta ben costruito e solido come una roccia, ha un display bello grande con un ottima luminosità, mi è già cascato diverse volte e non è successo nulla (faccio un lavoro a contatto con la natura). Il GPS è il classico GLONASS che funziona molto bene, la fotocamera è nella norma, lo speaker è un po' bassino di volume, ma credo sia per via dell' impermeabilità (che ancora non ho testato).
Nel complesso sono molto soddisfatto, il prezzo è veramente ottimo.
Gearbest sempre i migliori.

Volume un po' basso, ma per il resto ok

As with probably every new phone it takes a while to get everything set up and installed but now I am quite happy. The phone is rugged and I have been using it now during several extensive geocaching activities. GPS reception is good and accurate.

The phone comes without any unnecessary pre-installed apps like the ones you get on brand names - just a perfectly plain Android 6. 32 GByte of flash give enough space for plenty of apps.

The rubber/TPU shell gives a good grip.

Suggestion

For an everyday phone it might be considered a bit on the heavy side.

It would be nice if the phone had offered a Qi-charger because this would enable charging without opening/closing the rubber seals at the USB port.

The phone is really heavy and has metal on the bottom, so in an emergency you could use it to defend yourself from an attacker. :-D Also great for weighing down papers. The camera is pretty good if your hand doesn't shake. Decent phone operation, typical Android. Screen is very sensitive. Invisible keys are great feature. I got it on sale for less than $160.

Suggestion

It's more expensive now. Battery drains fast. You WILL have to charge it before your day is over, AND that means you'll have to carry your charging cord with you because nobody else's will fit. You have to use the headphone adapter too, because regular headphones won't fit. You CAN use both cords at once, but only if you mash them in forcefully. The IMEI sticker on the back looks really good, but it will start to peel off within one month. The phone is HEAVY. After many months, the rubber bumper around the phone will begin to peel away (see pics and vid); then it is no longer IP68. No image stabilization on cam. I thought it would be a small phone because 4.7" screen, but it is big (as big as some 5.5" phones). Power button is pretty hard to push.
