Introduce Yourself With CUBOT Quest Smartphone

I got my hands on another smartphone that has been introduced by a Chinese brand, Cubot.

This Cubot Quest smartphone has been designed in a way that is best suited for people who love embracing an active life and want to have a reliable and hardy phone. I was recently going through the price range of other Cubot models and found this model at the best price.

In the Cubot Quest model, the manufacturer attempted in achieving a very sporty and hardy smartphone yet keeping it slim and lightweight.

The model has got a 5.5-inch screen with MediaTek Helio P22 processor, 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal memory with the latest version of Android 9.0. The camera comes with 4000 mAh battery capacity for long trips.

What I loved is this smartphone is waterproof, dustproof, and IP68 certified. So, now you don’t have to worry about even if it falls into water or in the mud!

Unboxing Cubot Quest:

The smartphone is packed within a small black box with colored elements on the top of the box. It has its brand name written with golden letters right at the center of the topmost part of the box.

As I opened the box, I found the smartphone itself along with a protective film, a Type-C charging cable, and a power adaptor. I did not find any protective case included in the box probably because it is considered as a hardy phone.

Design and appearance:

Since the Cubot Quest is supposed to be a sports edition smartphone, the manufacturers kept it in a black-red combination. This made the phone look very attractive.

I love its design. It has got a 5.5-inch display with an aspect ratio 18:9. At the topmost area of the screen, there is a front camera with a LED notification indicator and a light distance sensor.

According to my analysis, the rear part of the Cubot Quest is very interesting. In the middle of the rear portion, there are three engraved sports icons, namely- a running one, cycling, and swimming one, which highlights its sporty features.

Therefore, you can consider it as one the most rugged and beautiful looking smartphones that is recently available in the market.

At the upper part of the back portion, the dual camera and dual LED flash are placed within a protected frame. Right below that, the fingerprint scanner is present. The speakers are present at the extreme lower left corner of the phone.

In addition to its being waterproof and dustproof, I expect it to be shockproof and resistant to drops and scratches, too. The best thing is that it can also be operated smoothly at extreme temperatures of -20 to +55 degree Celsius.

I fell in love with not only its color combination but also its impact-resistant rubber finish body that has given it a rocking look. On the right-hand side, there is a power button and on the left-hand side, there are also slots for a Nano Sim and a micro SD card.

Below that, there is a functional button, which you can program in your own way and it can activate the camera with one short press and Google Voice search for a long press. The USB and headphone slots are the same and placed at the bottom.

Hardware and Software:

The Quest Cubot runs on the latest MT6762 Octa-core MediaTek processor – Helio P22 which is built with a 12-nanometer technology last year. It comes in a high graphics resolution, making it ideal for playing heavy games.

The smartphone has 4 GB RAM and 64 GB internal memory. Of course, the memory can be extended up to 128 GB.

As I have already mentioned that the Cubot Quest works on the latest Android version 9.0 which has automatically made it support multiple languages.

I thought some of the basic applications and some active sports-related applications must have been pre-loaded in the phone, but the manufacturer decided not to offer any specific applications.

It was not a problem for me because I downloaded the Apps that I need and this helped me to get some free phone memory.

Photos and videos:

I am a photo lover and I value its in-built camera. The rear dual cameras are 12 megapixels and 2 megapixels with f/1.8 aperture and a 6 component lens.

This camera can take perfect photos under any climatic condition and also supports some high-end features like autofocus, panorama, night mode and even has a bokeh mode. The photos exhibit vivid colors and excellent quality.

I didn’t expect much from the front camera, but to my surprise, it not only clicked superb photos but also recorded videos in Full HD with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels at a speed of 30 frames per second in an MP4 format, which is exactly the same as the rear cameras.
