Flip Camera Gives You a True Full Screen Experience - ASUS ZenFone 6

I like to play games, watch videos and take photos with big screen mobile phones. However, although the mobile phones I used before all emphasis having a high screen-to-body ratio and a full screen, their notch made me, a perfectionist, can't like them.

The price of some mobile phones with a motorized camera is too high, so until now I just have bought a real full-screen phone that I am satisfied with, that is, ASUS ZenFone 6.

When all mobile phone manufacturers try their best to increase the proportion of mobile phone screens, ASUS keeps up with the trend of the times and combines the front camera and the rear camera into one, making a true full screen possible in the form of a flip camera.

Flip Camera

I am a person who loves to take pictures and take selfies. Whether I‘m eating, shopping or working, I will take out my mobile phone to take photos because I take photographs as a form of recording life.

Many times, I have been to many places, met a lot of people, done a lot of things, but in the end, I forgot all.

Only photos can remind me of the places I have been, the people I met and the things I did. However, traditional mobile phones have several shortcomings.

The first one is the limitation of the shooting angle, for example. If I were to shoot a tall building, I had to tilt the phone to a specific angle to compose the picture.

The ASUS ZenFone 6 flip camera perfectly solves this problem. Its camera is not positioned just in front of the screen and behind the screen, as with other flip cameras, but can be freely rotated at multiple angles.

I can use the buttons or volume keys in the camera software to adjust the lens angle to help me find the best shooting angle.

The second drawback of traditional mobile phones is that the pixels of the front camera is generally low, which does not satisfy my need for self-portrait photo clarity. If I want to take a clearer picture, I can only ask other people to take photos of me.

The ZenFone 6 flip camera makes it possible to take higher-quality selfies. Its own 48MP SONY IMX586 camera and 13MP ultra-wide camera not only act as the rear camera of the mobile phone but also the front camera of the mobile phone.

As a result, our ZenFone 6 has the highest-resolution front camera on the market.

How many people like me are worried about the life of flipping the camera before buying ASUS ZenFone 6? For example, how long can a motorized camera be used? And if my phone falls, will the camera be damaged? I can promise you as a user: You don't have to worry about this!

To answer the doubts in our hearts, I deliberately went to the official website to inquire about the relevant information: The ZenFone 6's durability test shows that the camera can be opened and closed at least 100,000 times, which means that if you use the camera 40 times a day, this lens can be used for about 6.8 years.

Additionally, to prevent accidental drops from causing damage to the camera, ZenFone 6 also has a camera protection mechanism that automatically detects if the phone is falling so that the camera can be retracted in time.

Then I let the phone fall freely on the mat at 0.5m and 1m respectively. I found that each time motorized camera can be quickly retracted in 1 second, which proves that the camera protection mechanism is very reliable.

Full Screen

The most significant benefit of the flip camera is that it dramatically reduces the difficulty of installing a full screen.

First of all, the front camera, sensors, and earpiece of the mobile phone must be installed on the front side of the screen, and as a result, they will occupy a part of the front screen position, which is why some mobile phones have a notch.

Secondly, although components such as sensors and earpieces can be hidden by current technology, hiding cameras is a very difficult and expensive task because if you want to hide the front camera under the screen, the lens of this camera with high transmittance, but once you put the display panel, the transmittance will be severely affected.

Therefore, the perfect full-screen display solutions on the market today are only as follows: the first one is using the pop-up front camera, like Vivo NEX; the second is using slider camera, like the Xiaomi Mi MIX 3; the third is using a full screen with notch, like Samsung S10 and iPhone X.

The camera of ASUS ZenFone 6 has been improved based on the pop-up front camera, and its camera is subtly moved to the back side of the phone, and it can be rotated, which is why ZenFone 6 can further expand the screen area based on hidden earpieces and sensors.

The mobile phone uses a 6.4-inch IPS screen with 19.5:9 aspect ratio, 1080 x 2340 high resolution, and sixth-generation Corning Gorilla glass as the screen protector. The most incredible is that the screen-to-body ratio is up to 92%, making the bezel is so narrow that the phone seems to be only about 6 inches.

The first time I got the phone, I took pictures, watched the video and played the game. It can be said that ZenFone6 with a full screen has greatly improved my mobile phone user experience.

When I was still using a notch screen phone, my friend once joked that this phone was very cost-effective because it would add a black and wide "notch" to all my self-portrait photos for free.

Additionally, for me, the notch has a big impact on the experience of watching videos. One of the main purposes of my full-screen phone purchase is for the better and more comfortable viewing experience, but once I play the video in full screen, the notch will block some of the content, which makes me very uncomfortable.

The ZenFone 6 uses a true full screen, which significantly improves the immersion for video playback and gaming and also makes me realize how superior it is to have a full-screen mobile phone.

Competitive Price

I also care about the price of ASUS ZenFone 6. I thought that a smartphone equipped with a full-screen, professional-grade electric camera, Snapdragon 855 chip, 5000mAh battery phone were costly, but I was wrong. ZenFone 6 only costs $ 499, which means the best value for money.

Pros and Cons

ASUS ZenFone 6 has many advantages. It has an ultra-high-pixel camera, a true full-screen, (with 92% screen-to-body ratio), the latest chips and other state-of-the-art mobile phone technology.

Of course, it also has some drawbacks, for example, it is easy for dust to accumulate on motorized camera. But overall, the configuration and performance of ASUS ZenFone 6 are definitely worth the money.

Many of the $1000 flagships don't offer as many useful features as ZenFone 6, so $499 is excellent for consumers.

The Verdict

If you love to take pictures, watch videos, pursue full screen, and use mobile phone, ZenFone 6 is the right choice for you. At least it satisfies all my needs and fantasies about smartphones.

I have already bought it. Why are you still hesitating? Try it now!
