ZenFone 6 VS. Galaxy S10: Guess Which I Would Recommend

ZenFone 6 VS. Galaxy S10: Guess Which I Would Recommend

ASUS ZenFone 6 and the Samsung Galaxy S10 have been mentioned alongside this year ever since their launch.

Despite a huge difference in prices, ASUS ZenFone 6 goes beyond most people’s expectations, even surpassing Samsung Galaxy S10 in terms of value for money. I think that ASUS ZenFone 6 is superior to Samsung Galaxy S11 in many aspects.

While many people expected Samsung to dazzle the audience, it is ASUS ZenFone 6 that excels right now. Let’s compare the two and see which one you should get!

First, Let’s Focus On Performance

ASUS 6 comes with the Snapdragon 885 chipset. The chipset is currently the most efficient processor for being power-efficient as well as fast in graphics rendering. On the other side, Samsung S10 features an Exynos 9 Octa-core 9820 chipset.

The CPU of ASUS ZenFone 6 is a 2.84GHz Octa-core processor; in comparison, that of Samsung S10 is a 2.73GHz one. Both feature the latest technology, and there is a minor difference in performance.

Based on my experience, Asus 6 hardware is more reliable than Samsung, since its CPU frequency is higher.

On the other hand, the GPU of ASUS Zenfone 6, which comes with Adreno 640 is also better; whereas, the GPU of Samsung Galaxy S10 is Mali-G76 MP12. Both can be used to play GPU intensive games, thanks to the latest technology under the hood.

The RAM of ASUS ZenFone 6 is 6GB, whereas Samsung S10 offers 8GB RAM. I find that 6GB RAM in ASUS is enough to deal with multitasking and regular use. There is no lagging while you are shifting between apps and using heavy applications.

ZenFone 6 has up to 64GB ROM, while Samsung S10 has 128GB storage memory.

However, because of the immense difference in CPU and GPU, ASUS offers a smoother experience to its users. Moreover, you can make up for the lack of storage memory with the card slot, which supports up to 256GB memory cards.

Let’s Discuss The Design

The designs date back to a few years. The mainstream smartphones feature more or less the same design. Usually, a high-quality smartphone is made of metal, glass, or curved glass. On the other hand, cheaper phones are made of plastic.

The cover of Samsung Galaxy S10 is made of the curved glass. It features the small bezels and a curved front. Whereas, in comparison, the ASUS 6 offers a smooth front, which is completely flat. They cater to different users.

Moreover, while the S10 features IP68 water-resistance, ASUS 6 does not. However, both of these phones have a 3.5 mm headphone jack. Some people think that the Galaxy S10 looks sophisticated and elegant, whereas I believe other aspects mean more to a phone rather than the design.

Let’s Talk About Display

Now, this is something which can be a deal-breaker. The Samsung Galaxy S10 features a 6.1-inch display, whereas the ASUS 6 offers a 6.4-inch screen. Both of the phones use Gorilla Glass 6 to protect the screen.

The screen of ASUS ZenFone 6 is an IPS LCD; the Samsung Galaxy S10 has a dynamic AMOLED screen. The aspect ratio of ASUS 6 is also high, at 19:9.5; the Galaxy S10 offers an aspect ratio of 19:9. This whooping difference is because Samsung needs the camera hole.

On the other hand, ASUS 6 is hailed as the best phone in 2019 because it does not need that notch. Unlike Galaxy S10 which has a special camera for taking selfies, the ASUS 6 has one camera that can be used as a front or rear camera with its flipping feature. One of the perks of this feature is that the screen looks neater.

Why do we love this feature? We can watch videos with a high aspect ratio easily! One thing that we do like about Samsung S10 is that its screen features higher specs, with 3040 x 1440 pixels.

On the other hand, ASUS ZenFone 6 only has 2340 x 1080 pixels. However, this is not a shortcoming because ASUS Zenfone 6 has proven to be the master of selfies, landscape shots, and general photography.

It’s Time To Take Photos!

Finally, let’s talk about cameras of which we cannot get enough. There are significant differences between the camera features of these two phones.

The ZenFone 6 is hailed as the phone with the best camera because it has integrated a motorized camera. The primary camera of ASUS 6 has the 48MP sensor with an f/1.8 aperture. In comparison, the 12MP cameras of Samsung Galaxy S10 are far from satisfying.

The secondary cameras differ by large margins, too. ASUS ZenFone 6 comes with an ultra-wide-angle lens and 13MP sensor offering a field view of 125 degrees. And the secondary sensor of the Samsung Galaxy is limited to a 16MP sensor and f/2.2 aperture.

Samsung comes with a third sensor of 12MP that offers optical zoom and f/2.4 aperture, but it hardly enhances the picture quality.

Additionally, ASUS camera integrates LASER AF and PDAF technology which feature far more enhanced technology than the OIS in Samsung.
The dual snappers of ASUS ZenFone 6, therefore, win the triple camera holes in Samsung 10.

Samsung Galaxy S10 has a traditionally safe design, i.e. two different cameras on the front and the rear. Moreover, they are motionless, unlike the camera of ASUS ZenFone 6, which can change the direction.

Let’s Discuss Battery

ASUS ZenFone 6 features a 5000mAh battery which can be used for up to 33.3 hours over calls. According to ASUS, you can use the phone ‘non-stop’ for up to two days.

On the other hand, the Galaxy incorporates a 3200mAh battery, which will be exhausted after a day. It does offer wireless charging. However, the relatively short battery life might not woo many people.

When it comes to charging, you might worry that it might take longer to charge ASUS ZenFone 6. Don’t worry about it. The smartphone supports 18W Quick Charge 4.0, which takes no time. The Samsung S10, however, seems to take forever because it only has the Quick Charge 2.0+.

So, What Is The Answer?

If it is still not clear for you, let me put it this way. I believe that ASUS 6 is the best phone for 2019 that you can purchase at a low cost. The Galaxy S10 costs up to $899, whereas you can get the ASUS 6 at a low price of $549.

Now, you shouldn’t be confused about which one you should get. There is no doubt that Samsung is a safe shot, but after going through all the details, I conclude that it is ASUS ZenFone 6 in which we should all invest. ASUS ZenFone 6 offers a long battery life, a stunning camera, and it is much more affordable!

ASUS ZenFone 6 is the future because it has introduced features that other brands are willing to copy, including efficiency, style. There is no denying that ASUS ZenFone 6 will enhance users’ lifestyles. Don’t hesitate, take a look at it right now, or it will be sold out.
