--- leider sichtbare Infrarot - LEDs - man sieht Nachts die 4 IR's von vorn wunderbar rot leuchten - nicht gut für eine Überwachungskamera

Bis auf den letzten Punkt alles kein Problem.

This works with my Comcast HD DVR that is located in the closed cabinet below the TV, my only complaint with this is you have to be at the right angle to get it to work - sometimes even pointing the remote right at it won't get a response, it also seems to work better at night than during the day - perhaps something about sunlight in the room reflects the signal funny

I bought this because I only have one set top box and got this for the other room where I have a second TV, I actually had to put this in the doorway in between the two rooms because when plugged in the infrared on the box is disabled so pointing the remote at it doesn't work, so much better than getting up and going to the other room to change the channel

I was able to hide away the box inside the wall with access panel inside end of kitchen cabinet under counter so all that's showing now is the wall-mounted big screen TV, I never have a need to access the cable box ; just control everything using the cable remote aimed at this infrared receiver stuck to the lower left of the TV screen frame

I was extremely disappointed because the ` eye' was not receiving the signal from the remote unless I stood nearly on top of it, I had the egg shaped unit flat on the console that the TV sits on, mount the flat sticky surface to the front face of your TV bezel trim or console unit so that the large surface faces you

I was so sick of keeping the cabinet door open to change channels because the signal would get blocked if I wasn't in the right position, this receiver works great and allows me to keep the cabinet door closed and change channels from anywhere in the room

Pretty decent camera with a high quality image. Came very well packaged. The casing looks durable and not prone to damages.

Suggestion

- very short adapter cable
- wireless reception is relatively weak

The FIOS remote was only responsive from certain points in the room and either completely useless or very slow from other areas, this extender is a simple and cheap solution to the problem with virtually no install time or trouble
