Connecting the remote control is the same as before - you need to clamp the two buttons on the M and Off. Control from the remote control - a little different from the usual, the volume control of brightness by a short press changes the brightness of the main luminaire, while holding changes the brightness of the ambilight. A short press on the M key, turns on and off the night illumination mode, holding this key adjusts the color of the ambilight. The button with the image of the sun is responsible for adjusting the color temperature of the main lighting. The luminaire can be combined with other Yeelight fixtures. In the menu automation, there is a list of scenarios in which the lamp is involved.

The luminaire is visible and can be controlled using the proprietary Yeelight application. In the control menu also separate light scenes for the main lighting and ambilight. The main thing for me is the option, in this sentence is the activation of the control mode over the local network, which gives access to the control of the luminaire with the help of alternative control systems

As a conclusion I will say that I liked the lamp, it replaced one of the old lamps in the living room which has an area of approximately 24 square meters. The lighting is planned in such a way that there are two lamps on the ceiling - each in its half of the room.

Hardware 4/5: The light is big, bright and colourful.
For a room size of 30m², install 2 of them. With only one you might end up not having enough light all over the room.
From the two ceiling light, for one of them, the ceiling fixation was not working properly, none of the lights was getting powered while the 230v was coming all the way to the plug. I had to manually stuff it with aluminium to cause the contact to work and the aftersale service ask for a video. How do you want to make a video of it?
Note: Do not refer too much to the pictures, the pictures are always more colourful than real life.

Software 4/5: I am using Yeelight application and it is very easy to use/pair: Click add a ceiling lamp, power on and off the light 5 times and there it appears in 10 seconds.
The group control *do not allow* to change the Ambilight.

Remote 4/5: To pair the remote, power on the light, wait 10 seconds, short press M & OFF at the same time and wait until your light is blinking (~10 seconds)
The remote *do not allow* to change the Ambilight.

Shipping 5/5; Very well packed. It came one day later than the latest estimated date. Yet, I am very satisfied with being shipped from an EU country and so avoid the 10 days procedure of customs and avoid to pay import taxes & duties upon receipt which happened a few times to me. I love it and will stick to Gearbest due to that.

Bugs: It randomly happened a few times that my lights powers on without asking it, this is quite disturbing. Once the LAN control driver (https://gitlab.com/stavros/python-yeelight) will be fully compatible with Ambilight, I will switch to it to avoid going through the internet to control my lights.

This ceiling light one of the most complete smart light actually on the market . You control it from your Yeelight app using German Server, that is very smooth for european users, and it has two different types of light: the full light in only one colour and the ambilight, that goes around the edges underneath the full light, that has a million colours.

The full light is very strong. When you turn it on, it always defaults to 100% intensity, but this is easily changed within the app. The ambilight is weaker, but still very visible. The app contains a lot of settings to play around with and comes with a few pre-made sets, for example date night or movie night (blue-ish light that makes it possible to see the buttons on your controller).

The light has support for Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Mi Home, so it means that you can easily use voice control with your favoirte method, personally i use Amazon Alexa and it works like a charm with its dedicated Amazon Skill.

I truly recommend this lamp. All features work flawlessly and it works in Europe!

The Yeelight JIAYUE 650 is a great Light with extraordinary capabilities at a very affordable pricepoint. The Main-Light can switch between different whites (warm/cold) seamlessly while the backlight offers pretty much limitless options regarding RGB Colors to add some more ambience to the light. Installing it was fairly simple, since you only need to drill two holes and screw the base plate into them. Then simply connect the two wires to the lamp (although I wish there was an option to ground the lamp (which according to the manual has to be done) and clip the light intself into the baseplate. Thats it!
Binding the remote to the lamp is fairly simple too, once the lamp has been reset to factory settings.
The lamp can also be used via the Yeelight App, which offers more control than the remote. The remote only allows to use the main light while the App also controls the backlight and offers countsless preset-scenarios that you can use.
The smart capabilities don't end there. You could also integrate the system into different home automation systems or couple the lamp to your PC with f.lux which allows the PC to controll the bgithness and color to your screen temperature which is a tremendous benefit if you're working late on your PC and dont want to suffer from strained eyes.

Overall the Lamp offers a very compelling setup at a fairly low price. The only downsides (as mentioned before are the limited capabilites of the remote and the fact that it's not grounded).

Вот и закончилась моя эпопея. Но закончилась в принципе хорошо.

Лампа пришла поврежденная. При доставке поврежден плафон. Дыра и куча мелки осколков. Техподдержка - "но проблем, оправляете назад, заменим". Ни на какие просьбы и предложения ни на шаг не уступили. Ни заменить только плафон, ни разрешить склеить ни и т.д и т.п. Высылайте и всё. :) А почта ПФ не принимает, нет упаковки такого размера. И с родной упаковкой тоже нельзя т.к она вся в старом скотче. Даже найти мешок такого размера было ещё тем приключением. Отправка обошлась 1800р (которые после замены сразу же вернули) . В общем при приобретении эту возможность надо учитывать. Но всё-таки свои обязательства "gearbest" выполнил на 100%. Приобретено 26.02.2018, а получена лампа 07.08.2018. Почти полгода :)

По лампе.
Светит ярко. Выглядит неплохо. НО тут ничего нового, такое отзывы пишут многие.
Напишу, что мне не понравилось.
1. Самый БОЛьШОЙ минус. Один режим яркости. Т.е. нельзя как например у "Original Xiaomi Philips LED Ceiling Lamp" переключать три режима просто клацая выключателем. Это просто супер-функция. Тут можно задать только один режим. Дальше только с пульта или телефона. Это очень НЕ удобно.
2. Мин режим сильно яркий. Приходится ставить "лунный" режим на макс яркости, но он сильно желтый.
3. Куча шаблонных режимов конечно классно - но абсолютно бесполезно.
