Xiaomi Populele APP LED Bluetooth USB Smart Ukulele 1pc

Considered “the world’s first smart ukulele.” the Populele was not something i knew about “smart ukulele”.

Once the box arrived, I was impressed with the presentation. It comes with a nice sturdy box which held the ukulele and all accessories : canvas case, extra strings, picks, capo, and a USB cable.

Note that after a successful run on Indiegogo earlier, PopuBand Music's smart ukulele is now on general sale. Combining app-based smarts with follow-me LED lighting, the company is promising students of the uke that they'll be strumming their first song within 15 minutes.

The ukulele felt solid and well put together. The Populele is a concert size ukulele and really feels great. Note that the fretboard is made of black plastic, as it is what makes this a smart ukulele since the fretboard lights up the LEDs.

What makes the Populele a smart ukulele is the USB Bluetooth device located on the side of the instrument. The USB is used to charge the ukulele and the Bluetooth is used to connect with the Populele App, from an Android or iOS device.

Populele easily pairs with any smartphone via its Android or iOS app, then it will go through a simple tuning process.

The gamified experience really makes sure you can progress little by little and can play your first notes within 15 minutes.

This is a very cool thing. I have long dreamed of learning to play the instrument and I think this is a very good start.
Ukulele has a built-in tuner and Bluetooth module. This helps you tune the guitar and also train through the application. The neck has a series of LED light bulbs that help you learn chords.
The set was additionally put a set of spare strings, a clamp for strings, 2 mediators, instructions with reference to the application, a cover.
I and my girl are delighted. We are happy to learn the game on ukulele together)

Suggestion

The app does not support my tablet Asus ZenPad 8, but it works well with the Lenovo Vibe Shot phone

The package arrived well, some dents on the box but no impacts to the ukulele. First, I thought that it has a bluetooth problem. I wasn't able to connect it with my phone. In the app, clicking on settings was the same like clicking on tools. Although my phone is from Xiaomi, why isn't it connecting? After I checking their website, I noticed that it was under maintenance. A day after, the app was functional again and I could use the "smart" features. The included instructions are in Chinese, but the app is in English. Actually, is everything as expected. But with the experience I made, it's relying on the app. Without, you wouldn't have the smart features, then it's a simple ukulele.

I am really surprised how well the learning with the all works. I had some trouble with the Bluetooth connection at first but after turning Bluetooth off and on again my smartphone eventually found the Populele and I had no issues since then.
It's really fun to play and the app covers all basics skills to play and is really rewarding. Sometimes you need a few extra attempts at a lesson but it's not frustrating at all.

I can definitely recommend this Ukulele for anyone you would like to know if Ukulele ist the instrument for them and to get a good start at it without taking lessons.

Avevo voglia di acquistare uno strumento musicale ed inizialmente avevo pensato ad una chitarra classica, ma poi ho deciso di scegliere uno strumento un po' più "strano" come l'ukulele. Essendo anche un appassionato di tecnologia e dei dispositivi Xiaomi ho deciso di acquistare questo Populele.

Lo utilizzo da qualche giorno e lo trovo davvero stupendo. Grazie ai LED è possibile imparare e memorizzare con maggiore facilità i vari accordi e gli esercizi sono più che adeguati per ogni livello (almeno quelli che ho completato fino a questo momento).

Davvero soddisfatto!

Com uma excelente qualidade de construção, este Ukelele é o ideal para dar os primeiros passos na música.
Só lamento não ter mais tempo :)
A interação com a aplicação é super divertida e didática.
Foi tudo muito bem pensado e desenhado.
Acho que se trata de um produto premium e que só não é perfeito, na minha ótica, por precisar de afinação regular e as cordas estarem um pouquinho altas demais.
No entanto, e pelo preço, estamos perante mais uma maravilhosa criação da Xiaomi.
Recomendo vivamente a adultos e jovens que tenham vontade, enquanto autodidatas, de aprender este instrumento.

J'ai acheté ce Ukulélé pour apprendre, je trouve le son pas mal du tout comparé a une autre Ukulélé d'une célèbre marque qu'on m'a offert.
j'ai été encore plus agréablement surpris, il reste bien mieux accordé.
Côté application, on regrette le français. Mais c'est ludique, on apprend sous forme de jeux.
Bien plus pratique que les tutoriels internet dont on s'y perd très vite a vouloir aller trop vite.
Là, on évolue de manière progressive, chaque étape est franchie a condition de faire correctement ses exercices ...
Pour apprendre, je pense que c'est l'idéal

good materials, very well built with a nice finishing.

combining with the populele app, it's surprisingly easy to learn how to play, especially if you already play guitar.
in a few hours I've learned to play a complete song.
you learn while you play a game and that is very pleasant.

I'm not familiar with the ukulele so I'm not the best to judge the sound. however, it's seems to be a little stuffy.

the app is well built but the mic sensitivity is not so good. but the problem is not with the populele.

Where else can you get a sweet black guitar for this price, it looks like a real guitar, of course I know nothing about guitars but I know that I now have one that and I didn't have to spend much to get it, it's really great considering the price, anyway - this is a fantastic first guitar for someone who just wants to try it and not invest a crazy amount of money

The best guitar there is for someone just starting and learning and is definitely the most affordable, definitely very impressed with this guitar and so surprised I got something way worth what I paid for, the only drawback I have Is that it does go out of tune after a while a little faster than more professional guitars but then again
