James Donkey 619 NKRO Mechanical Keyboard for Gaming

Ok, the switches. This came with black Gateron, They are heavier than reds but not in a bad way in my opinion because as you know reds as light as they are can make you do typos errors and this Gateron blacks not. I can tell you that red for gaming and blacks for typing if you don't like clicky switches. Build quality it's nice. If you don't like the looks, take off the yellow feet and add rubber feets. Nice build and really nice switches.

Suggestion

The only CON I can tell (price wise) is that in the TKL version (I have 2 full-size James donkey 619) is that I can hear some metallic sound coming from the case when some of the keys are pressed, this doesn´t happen with the full-size versions and you can get just to it if you are not to picky.

When I received this keyboard, I started using this straight away. It was my first mechanical keyboard, so it taught me why a lot of people like using these. I don't know much about the specifics of mechanical keyboards, but this one felt nice to use, especially because I liked the clicky sounds and how the press of a key felt. The lights are dim, but I prefer them to be that way, and they did have a lot of customization options by using the FN key.

After using it for 2 weeks, I started feeling a lot of strain on my wrists, it got really uncomfortable after an hour of using it. When I ordered this keyboard, I didn't notice that it doesn't have a numpad, the enter button is really weirdly placed (it's smaller and \ key is bigger for some reason) and that the left shift key is a lot bigger, although the keyboards I prefer have a smaller left shift and an extra button between the left shift and Z. But this was my own fault for not paying any attention to the pictures of the product before I ordered it. It did have a little defect though, when restarting Windows through the start menu, it refused to start up correctly - the keys didn't light up and the keys didn't work. I had to restart my computer by pressing the restart button on the case for it to work correctly. I'm not sure if this is common to all of the keyboards or whether only mine refused to start up correctly.

This keyboard seems just perfect... It's really smooth and the weight feels right, I also have one with red switches and it feels too light, it would press keys just by resting my hands on the keyboard ...The light is good on the eyes, the cable fine too. Overall it's very good!

Suggestion

The support could have more rubber, but I can probably fix it myself for $3 or 4$.

Компактная качественная клавиатура. Очень хорошие, мягкие переключатели. Я доволен покупкой, но есть нюансы. Брешут люди в комментариях, что нельзя снять боковые желтые части. Смотрите видео, все снимается и выглядит классно.

Острая кромка нижней пластиковой пластины. Пришлось пройти наждачной бумагой. Верхний цифровой ряд имеет плохо различимый шрифт. В драйверах невозможно переназначить функции символьных клавиш. Например на клавишу "/" поставить значение "энтер" или на клавишу "win" поставить ctrl.

[PT/BR] Após quase um ano de uso do teclado venho aqui fazer uma review convicto, esse é um dos teclados que por coincidência não é mundialmente conhecido. O switch Gateron é premium de verdade eu diria que ganha dos Cherry. sorte de quem conseguiu comprar ele quando o dólar não estava tão caro como eu. Mesmo depois dos meus amassos ele continua como novo, muita qualidade Recomendo muito.

Bought it for a friend which wanted inexpensive mech keyboard with lightning on MX or Gateron switches. It feels and works fine; keyboard itself is little bit high, so use of palm rest is recommended. Overall it is good first mech keyboard, would recommend!

It's my first mechanical keyboard, so I can't compare to others. What I can say is that this keyboard is very well shaped and looks really great. It's amazing the feeling of typing in that. I strong recommend it as an entry mechanical keyboard.

The quality of this keyboard, this is incredible!!! Here in Brazil a keyboard like this, is a very expencive! Very soft key, good switchs, aluminum in the base, this keyboard is amazing!
