Xiaomi Mi Gaming Notebook Intel Core i7-8750H Nvidia GeForce GTX1060

When I saw first time, only one word was in your mind: quality. From the box, where the illustration is the notebook's schematic blueprint until the brushed aluminium housing I feel detailed thinking and implementing. And after I switched and realized the power what this machine contains. Compromise-free working, mobility in a very elegant, modern serving.
Forthis price the competitors have got worse configuration or the same configuration is more expensive.

Positive experiences:

- Powerfull
- Real NVMe SSD, not SATA like Razer (Samsung NVMe SSD, 3,5 GB/s reading, 1,5GB/s writing speed)
-Effective cooling (5 heatpipes to dual vents)
-Legal Windows 10 Home

Neutral experiences:
- Turbo mode the vents quiet loud ( I knew that, I use headphones)
- arrived in chinese language, by youtube changed the language and installed local Win 10
- Xiaomi miservice2 and Gaming box install were tricky (by this softwares can config the RGB lights and macrokeys)
- quiet heavy (of course, it is metal, my previous was metal too, no problem)

Negative experiences:
-not yet.

Took a little bit to get it all setup after receiving, because the Chinese language windows version, bios too it's Chinese by default but a drop down menu can change to English easily.
I installed a clean windows 10, got a cheap pro key on eBay, set bios to legacy mode to boot from USB and installed fine.
(To anyone doing this, update your windows completely, including the October update etc before installing drivers, Intel graphic driver is required before Nvidia and it won't install of your windows is not up to date.)
I also just noticed Xiaomi released an update for their mi gaming box program, it's now in English as well, the program that controls your lights and macro keys.
Another thing I just can't live without is Linux so I partitioned the SSD drive reserving ~40gb or so for a Linux partition (can be done in windows using the disk management utility), and I faced no issues installing KDE neon distro on the side of windows 10, dual booting, everything worked out of the box.

It is impossible to find the power and quality of this laptop at the price of this Xiaomi Gaming Laptop. Fully fulfills the expectations created, because its technical specifications are very good, both for playing and for what is most important to me, and for what I am going to use it, photography and video editing. It also has a sober and elegant design, away from the typical quirky designs of gaming computers.

The only negative points that have, already known before the purchase, is that it comes with windows in Chinese, easy to solve reinstalling windows in our own language, and that the keyboard is in English of the United States, which can be fixed with stickers which are easy to acquire, although it is a solution that I find somewhat sloppy. I am waiting for them to put on sale silicone keyboard covers with my own language, as they already exist for other Xiaomi models, although I have not yet found them for the Xiaomi Gaming Laptop.

Recieved it yesterday and was happily surprised. High quality packaging just like with other big brands. laptop is beautifully built, has great design and much more slim & elegant than i anticipated. Screen is great & performance seems to be very high. Trackpad also great.
the only reason i gave this a 4 star rating is because if you are a user which isnt Chinese, changing the language *completely* is kind of a hassle. Luckily i know my way around so i got to work pretty fast. changing language requires upgrading to windows pro, and even after - needs some extra setting up for making the entire system english.
its also a bit on the heavy side (2.7kg).

after the windows upgrade and language change were over, the experience is just great.

highly recommend ! for the price of it you cant find this spec on any of the competitors.

I purchased this in the flash 42% off deal and while it comes with a Single Language edition of Windows 10, it was worth the hassle of switching it over to save nearl £700 on such a good bit of kit.

Design/Appearance
- Sleek, beautiful design with a very nice metal finish
- Lightweight for what it is (don’t expect it to be super light)
- Beautiful screen and hingeless design - gotta see it in person!!
- Gamer style keys limit keyboard space making it take some time to get used to
- 5 customisable keys!!

Overall and amazing piece of kit and with a little work to reinstall Windows in English, this is an amazing deal.

This is the first time I'm writing a review at all. This laptop is awesome, really. Everything that I will not mention below as weak parts of the laptop is perfect.
Shipping was extremely slow. ~1.5 month

Weak parts of the laptop:
- it comes in Chinese Windows and the only thing you can do with it is to reinstall Windows;
- it's really heavy. With charger it will be more or less 3 kg, be careful;
- on the screen there is a white stains on corners, almost not noticeable in the dark with black full screen photo;
- be ready for a loud coolers. It has a good processor and it needs a good cooler then, not like many other laptops with U processors (try to avoid Intel Core i12345U processors in general);
- I couldn't use GNU/Linux/Arch without having acpi=off option in GRUB). Basically it means that I can't use GNU/Linux on this laptop normally.
Everything else is great.

il computer è arrivato con un giorno in anticipo ma ho dovuto pagare 35 euro di dogana con DHL express, arrivato il computer si presenta in perfette condizioni molto veloce con una unica pecca, la configurazione di windows é completamente in cinese ma dopo un paio di tentativi si riesce ad accedere, dopo aver reinstallato windows in italiano l'importante è far fare gli aggiornamenti a windows update se no vi ritroverete un sacco di errori di driver, facilmente scaricabili dal sito xiaomi. In prestazioni il computer é perfetto l'unica pecca sono le ventole un po' troppo rumorose. Per il prezzo i componenti hardware e la struttura qualitativa del portatile sono piú che vantaggiosi, un altro difetto peró é la tastiera americana ma dopo un po' di ore di utilizzo ci si fa l'abitudine. Sconsiglio l'acquisto ai meno vogliosi di mettere mano al prodotto prima di usarlo.

i test it for a month and this is incredible machine,test most games and there is 60fps at mostly hight settings ,the keyboard is good little annoying with the esc button becouse is close to the turbo mode key but with the time u learn it and not going to push the wrong key,the fan are little loud but only in gaming mode,the temp sometime go little high only from the cpu but with little undervolting the cpu dosent go over 75-80C ,and with the new bios update the laptop with normal usage is very silent dosent go over 2000rpm on fans in the most time but the temp go little high in the normal range overral this is a beast ,there is a con ,the display is only 60hz thats it,and for the price this is the best

Коробка выдержала очень много пока дошла, но ноутбук пришел целый без видимых повреждений. После установки чистой системы Winsows Pro и установки новых драйверов пропали подписания и тормознутость. Тесты соответствуют типичным результатам для GTX1060 и Core i7-8750H. Диск быстрый. Шум в режиме турбо оглушительный. Корпус не маркий Клавиатура удобная.
Посылка шла запредельно долго.Товар соответствует описанию. Дефектов нет.
