IPXX Rating Chart

IP Code
The IP Code (or International Protection Rating, sometimes also interpreted as Ingress Protection Rating*) consists of the letters IP followed by two digits and an optional letter. As defined in international standard IEC 60529, it classifies the degrees of protection provided against the intrusion of solid objects (including body parts like hands and fingers), dust, accidental contact, and water in electrical enclosures. The standard aims to provide users more detailed information than vague marketing terms such as waterproof.

The digits (characteristic numerals) indicate conformity with the conditions summarized in the tables below. For example, an electrical socket rated IP22 is protected against insertion of fingers and will not be damaged or become unsafe during a specified test in which it is exposed to vertically or nearly vertically dripping water. IP22 or 2X are typical minimum requirements for the design of electrical accessories for indoor use.

    Awesome dive light
Owned this Brinyte DIV01 for about two weeks. IMO, this is a great dive light with a strong focused beam that delivers the expected level of brightness. In terms of performance, the DIV01 is definitely good enough to use a main go-to light or as a (very) good back up light. For my recent trip to Hawaii, I used it on all of my dives (total: 21 dives) which were conducted during both daytime and nighttime. The light performed flawlessly every time. During the daytime, I was able to look under the ledges and into nooks and crannies, and the detail was exceptional each time. While the beam is a little narrow for my liking for use on night dives, I was still able to deploy it as my primary while my gf used my big light. This is an exceptional flashlight by any standard.
Happy with the performance so far. Worth the purchase.

    Two thumbs up
Easily one of my favorite flashlights, and I've owned about ten altogether. It has a consistent beam with steady lumen output. Perfect for those who love diving at all hours. It's survived all kinds of dives, including up to 15-20 meters and everything is still perfect; no visible corrosion or leaking into internal compartments. When they made this, it was built to last lol. Can also be used on land ofc but I bought this primarily for my diving addiction.
Happy with the performance so far. Worth the purchase.

    dive torch
These are really sturdy, and really bright. I've got a few, and one did over 300 dives before I lost it. Strong design, well priced. If you want a 3 c cell light, these are the bomb. No modes, twisty for full brightness. The lack of switch makes them bulletproof. Lanyards okish. Comes with a pot of silicon and spare orings. They've been down to 50m a few times, no worries at all.
Well, the manual mentions lithium ion batteries. You can't use them, it's c cell only, or you'll fry it. It's fairly hard to find rechargeable batteries with enough oomph to last an hour plus, so your using primary cells. They are fairly large, but really are a great light. Very bright, so I carry another brinite lithium torch with modes for general use.

Best diving light I Have, already went to 21m depth for 60 minutes, perfect seal, perfect spotlight, so bright!! beter than my coleague flashlight that costed more than 200€
Only Type C cells, witch is very good for backup light but a bit anoying for primary light, as you have to be buying C cells all the time, although I did 1 hour dive and I could not see the light fading, so I beleave that the batterys will last 2 or 3 dives at least!
