gocomma LED Electric Mosquito Killer Lamp 220V

For some reason, i've been inundated by mosquitoes this summer! They are in the house, and i've been spraying them with mosquito killer and wearing mosquito repellent, with no success. Every morning i was going in to work covered with mosquito bites.

But then, while browsing on GearBest for an unrelated item, i saw this. It has *changed my life!*

It arrived, and i opened it immediately. It looks great! I plugged the cord into my computer, pushed the power button on top, and a pleasing bluish violet light appeared at the top. At the same time, i could barely hear the fan come on, but indeed it did, because i could feel the air gently coming out of all four fine mesh screens at the bottom.

After leaving it on overnight, i checked it in the morning. There were at least a dozen mosquitoes lying dead in the catch tray at the bottom. Now i just leave it on all the time, and empty it out on a daily basis.

A couple of points i'd like to clarify.
1. This unit has no batteries, nor is it powered by a conventional AC adapter. Instead, there is a white cable that comes out the back, about 1/3 of the way down from the top. It's about 4 feet (1.2 meters) long, and has a standard USB Type A connector on the end. The USB plug can be inserted into a computer with an available USB port, which is how i've been using it. But, it can also be used with a USB charger (the kind that has a USB port and plugs into the wall or your car's lighter receptacle), or a portable battery pack (power bank), as long as it has the USB receptacle on it. This is a most convenient and versatile arrangement. Given these power options, the unit is easily and 100% portable.

2. Here's how this unit works: When it is powered up, an internal fan draws air into the top of the unit, and sucks any hapless mosquitoes who fly too close, into the unit. They travel through the fan, into the bottom section of the unit. There, the air exhausts through the screens, but the mosquitoes are trapped. They cannot get through the exhaust screens, and are not strong enough to fly upwards against the fan's airflow. Eventually, are dehydrated and die.

3. What about the light in the top of the unit? I've done some research, and i've found sources that state definitely that mosquitoes are attracted to ultraviolet and blue light. Other sources say that mosquitoes are *not* attracted to light of any kind (mosquitoes have very poor eyesight), and navigate their way towards heat (mammals' body temperature) and carbon dioxide (produced continuously by all breathing mammals). Therefore, i don't know for sure what brings the mosquitoes close enough to the unit to be entrapped in the negative airflow near the top. Is it the unit's bluish, purplish light that attracts 'em, or something else? All i know is that for some reason, it seems to catch more mosquitoes at night, when there are no other lights on in the house

I love this Electric Mosquito Trap so much, i've ordered three more!

The only thing that bothered me when i first unpacked it is that there were no instructions in English. However, this thing is so easy to set up and operate, there was no need for any instructions whatsoever! That's why i give this product a full Five Star rating. * * * * *

Pacco arrivato in tempo e imballato molto bene.
Dentro la scatola troviamo questa lampada antizanzara e un libretto d istruzioni in cinese, ma insieme ce pure un foglio con istruzioni in inglese.
L antizanzara è semplicissimo da usare percio secondo me si puo anche fare a meno di istruzioni.
Basta attaccarci il cavo e accenderlo con il pulsante posto nella parte superione. La lampada antizanzara ha tre gradi di intensita di vento che risuccchia le zanzare . Fa pochissimo rumore e la luce della lampada accettabile, non come una che avevo preso in passato che favceva rumore pazzesco e tanta luce da non poterlo usare di notte.
Il punto è che lo accendiamo la notte e la mattina dopo trovano un paio di cadaverini di zanzare. Percio fa bene il suo lavoro.
Mi ero quasi arresa sulle antizanzare , ma su questo sono abbastanza soddisfatta .
Insieme ce anche una spazzolina per ripulire l interno della zanzariera. Infatti i cadaverini vengono attratti dalla luce e risucchiati. In fondo ce un apertura che serve girarlo per aprire e rimuovere le zanzare risucchiate.

- Il funzionamento è molto semplice: una volta acceso, un LED blu attira zanzare e altri insetti. Quando gli insetti raggiungono il LED, vengono risucchiati da una ventola all'interno del prodotto.
- Fondo staccabile per pulizia.
- Bassa emissione di rumore, quasi impercettibile.
- Può essere alimentato con un caricabatterie da muro per cellulari (5VDC) o con un powerbank per l'uso in mobilità.

Actually I was not expecting this to work, last night left my window open with lights on just too see if it worked. And damn it worked pretty well, there were 10 mosquitos killed around it.

delivered with in 7days (to india) packing is excellent. comes with the usb cable but not detachable.doesn't come with 220v to 5v adapter.it is no where mentioned that it can be used with 220v so haven't tried yet. order 1A 5V adapter along with this so you can use it (Maximum 5W) so don't connect with your turbo chargers (9W-15W-18W) not much noise nice violet light. simple and compact. manual is in Chinese but its pretty simple to use so no need to worry or use google translate .
