Everything about this is GREAT

Watched plenty of YouTubes before buying. This plane lives up to all the accolades. I chose the Night time LED version, with the X8 transmitter, and glad I did. The lights really make it stand out when flying bat twilight...when the wind is low. And so the fly time is extended after sun down. And dis-orientation is less of an issue with these lights.

Assembly was easy...although my radio have wires crossed on right stick. Fortunately I was able to switch plugs inside the TX to make it right. Recommend handhold bench tests to make sure controls are correct, before flying.

Switching from Vertical to Horizontal modes and back is so nice. Vertical takeoff is super simple. Vertical Landing is just as easy, but keep AT LEAST 40% throttle to keep gyros active in Vert Mode. otherwise in goes into "flutter Mode". On Vert landing, once it touches down, getting it to stay standing takes some practice. Any wind will blow it over. So make sure it faces back to the wind on touchdown, so if it blows over it will land on the front wheel. Otherwise it will land on its back and the props will hit the ground. I added home made zip tie prop guards to help save the props. See attached.

Best to have some experience for assembly. And some experience before flying. An experienced beginner will have no trouble flying it. Slow flight is possible. I have a few years airplane experience...but still...3D mode is a challenge (very Touchy) on this plane with no expo on TX. Low rates help.

Great RC Plane !

Easy Plane to fly even for beginners or experts alike. I would recommend getting the X8 remote Controller because it allows you to change from horizontal, vertical or acro mode with just a flick of a switch. This plane has great brushless motors and is very stable. You can land it both vertical of the traditional horizontal method. Check youtube for more tips and flying the XK X520 Plane.

An amazing flier. Most people try to have it take off standing up, but I like to have it take off like an airplane, using its wheels. It flies with amazing stability. One of the best aircraft on the market. I will be putting a demonstration of it on my youtube channel as soon as the weather gets better. Don't wait until supply runs out, put in your order now and get flying.

vertical take off, super fun

lot of fun!

-brushless motors, fast
-pretty easy flying in 6g mode
-need training in 3d mode
-foam will survive in little crashes
-you can fix the foam if it will break
-good rc transmitter

if you are in trouble with 3d mode, switch back to 6g or vertical mode and you will save your aircraft

Suggestion

-light weight and materials are not very strong: moderate wind will make flight difficult.
-foam will break in big crashes

Great Plane for beginners and experts alike !
Plane can take off upright or horizontal. easy to control and fly.
Very powerful motors.
Would recommend the X8 Remote controller because it gives the ability to switch levels with a flick of a switch.

Great X520 RCPlane

Came within 3 weeks. Well packed. Duty was under £12. The plane is a breeze to set up n so easy to fly. Almost crash proof. Battery life about 8 mins. Very fast n v good fun. Crashed it a few times but quite robust. Good plane overall.

A great little plane at an amazing price but I would certainly advise getting the better grade transmitter. It is certainly very entertaining to fly and pretty robust if you should have the odd crash.
